incredible work! been using this to resynthsize messy bass signals, pretty great. which version is the best to grab tho? i've been using v23.5 for while but it kept causing ableton to hang when i hit play. went to check for updates and see the main dl is for v17.6

Any chance you would add a feature to have sidechain inputs rather than the built in oscillators? You’d basically have a vst version of Alexander panos’s resynth haha
@@xeno8566 that is exactly why I haven't decided to do it :) Early versions had this feature but I removed it so that people would still want to purchase his bundle
do you think it's possible to make something like Fluid Chords plugin with PlugData? i just stumbled upon this stuff now

purchased both and i have to say, they are very powerful and sounds great. took me a bit of time to make automations (im not used to pure data) it does use a bit too much of cpu in my opinion but ain't much
@@kinka16 hey ty for getting them, I appreciate it. Optimizing PD patches is a little difficult, however I am working on porting them over to "a real" format such as vst and AU.

botanica is weird :) i always watch pleasant tutorials about its sounddesign but youtube hasn't suggested me to listen to a song or album of that genre yet and i havn't actively searched so far. but I always feel like those sounds would be the perfect for films or games with a solarpunk ambiance
@@Beatsbasteln it's one hell of a genre! And vast too, I recommend some of Thorjn and Alexander Panos's stuff (sound design collage/botanica stuff)
There are more botanica tutorials than songs in that genre, that's just a weird fact. I'm not sure, but I think the term first came from a youtube tutorial. And by some weird chain reaction (largely due to youtube algorithms), musicians picked it up and started making a genre around it. Usually it happens in the opposite direction.
@@checktheneck Botanica is just fancy ear candy, so I can kinda see why. There are loads of "Botanica" songs that are just IDM or "weird" music. Either way, I fuck with it heavy 🥺

I did! It's an ultrasonic distance sensor; I'm converting the time between pulse and echo into a usable time for the granular synth with python and OSC.

So sick, I did something similar a while ago with Max MSP - built a bug cage that triggered notes when crickets blocked an infrared LED connection

@@ewanbristow yeah it was a plexiglass case that i built, with infrared receivers beneath the clear floor and infrared LEDs fixed into the lid, so there were like 8 locations that could be triggered to activate a different sample slice

It is. This is the whole setup- A custom granular synth being controlled by an ultrasonic distance sensor, being picked up with python (data sent over localhost OSC)

You should show a finished sound design example from all of your plugins! Not that they don’t sound amazing raw, it would just make for a good “visualiser”. BTW, got any more projects coming up? Can’t wait to see what you got in store
