I see..... The first time I watched this anime was 9 months ago, I was searching for countless anime that can entertain me and thus I found this lost treasure. I dug for copper but I found gold, I will never forget the day I watched this anime this anime is the one I truly enjoyed I thank the author for this amazing piece of art. There is a sequel to this anime and its called Utawarerumono: itsuwari no kamen, It's not like the first one but in the game it is amazing I'd recommend watching gameplays of Utawarerumono mask of deception, Utawarerumono mask of truth . Its even more amazing than the first one new characters and very intriguing plot, If you really enjoyed utawarerumono then I recommend playing them or watching the gameplays.

Then go ahead and watch utawarerumono the false faces, equally as impressive a story with a deadbeat for a protagonist. I love how the cast just mess around with each other.

+Ulrikfs It has been only 12 episodes so far -_- And the MC had sex with pretty much all of the girl in the 1st game, so yeah. The action and plot is just starting to appear. The 1st 11 episodes were meat to introduce the characters and plot will start now, as they will go to war.

I never got to play the games, as I avoid pirating, and I can't play either of the games as I don't speak japanese, or live in japan. I know the first game is an eroge, but the first season of the anime is not. It may not be much change if you played the game, but for me who can't play either of the games without pirating, it makes a big difference. Im just disappointed. In the first season, we only got 4 little girls, in the second, I lost count. Im still watching the second season, so im not sayong it's bad, im just disappointed.

i am pretty sure you can buy the game and download the english patch :) also i am just telling you that you can't expect to change the story based on your personal tastes, did you know that the main heroine of utawarerumono 2 is hakuoro and yuzuha daughter? yes he did had sex with her and she had a kid, this is canon story :v in fact the games explain a lot of things that don't happen on anime.

+Klazyo No, it was not a bad idea. It was foreshadowed since the begining, not a plot twist that came out of nowere. And btw, the story is from the original game, released back in 2002

shiningyrlife Yeah, I think this anime is one of the best animes made I would say. I really loved it from the start to the end. It is the only anime that has made me sit to the edge of my seat for whole episodes and made me cry so much my parent wondered if something had happent to me... Memories decend upon me just by listening to this song.

Poseenm41997 indeed, i just finished it recently and never regret watching it. By the by, you probably heard but just to be sure, their will be a sequel of this anime known as Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen coming this year, can't wait for it to be released
