yes..thankyou, i film quite a few ships... but as you see in the video, on both days the sea was very flat, any waves that are there are quite clearly no where big enough to hide half a ship..!!!!!!!!!!! and....even if there were waves... the ship would hidden as the wave passed... then we would see the ship until the next arrived..... that does not happen here..!!!
Your channel is already terrific with the boats over the horizon and zooming into planes and all that but can you try zooming into a city across the horizon? That would be cool
There isn't really anywhere to do that...but leave it with me.... i'll have a look around and see what i can find.... thankyou for the comment and taking the time to visit my small channel.....

i think...just the seabed...sand.... theres a harbour close to where the water was coming out of the dredger and also this area does have sand banks sooo guessing they were trying to keep these from silting up....

oh that's cool, we have a similar programme here in Auckland, again on one of these older sailing ships.
Surprisingly..this is not old...just built to look old, she was launched in 2014....nice to see the younger generation being tought the old sailing skills.....

Basically it just unloads its self...with the equipment thats on the top of the ship toward the bow...ususally its like gravel...so has a conveyor belt system which goes from the ship onto land.....

@@malcy34 Yep, good point. From 11kms (7 miles) you really only notice the contrail from the ground. We don't get many planes over-flying us at altitude where I am. It's good you can fill the void 👍

Nie leci się dokładnie poziomo ze względu na kulę ziemską i jej krzywiznę... ponadto smugi kondensacyjne zależą od temperatury... 🙂🌎🌐

Get a piece of paper and draw a horizontal line across the centre. Draw three lines going bottom up towards the horizon, on each line imagine a small boat, a medium boat and a large boat going up towards the horizon line (line of sight where orthogonal lines meet). The small boat disappears in your visual capacity before it gets to the horizon line, the medium boat reaches the horizon line now where do you think it will go? Do you think it would go skywards? No, the bottom will reach the horizon line then it will drop down in your eye view until the top will disappear the further it goes meanwhile the large boat has gone beyond the horizon and the medium boat has fully disappeared but because the larger boat is taller you can still see the top of it even though it is further away and the bottom is obscured. If your viewing angle extends upwards along the ground/sea so will anything on it that goes towards the horizon. I don’t know how else globers would expect a boat to disappear on the horizon other than bottom up, do you think it would just keep sailing upwards into the sky? Or instantly shrink to a dot? This same principal works with anything in the sky going towards the horizon, it will drop lower and lower in your eye view and it it is large enough to still be visible at the point of the horizon it will disappear bottom up the further it goes from your line of sight. Again what to you think would happen to it when the reaches the horizon suddenly go back up in the sky in an upwards trajectory which it would have to do to still be visible once the orthogonal angle met the point of convergence, where both visual angles meet (the horizon).
IF..... a ship was sailing on a flat plain..it would disapear into a small dot the further away it got.... then... zooming in with my camera would bring the whole ship back in to view...because the boat is on a flat level plain....here it does not.... yes, the top of the boat gets smaller...a dot.... but zooming in only brings that top part of the vessel into view... the rest is hidden....no amount of zooming will bring it back into view..!!!!
@@malcy34 Please at least try to research what the horizon is. Here is a lesson in linear perspective. Vanishing Point(s): The point(s) where parallel lines seem to converge and disappear. To put it a different way, it’s the point or points where orthogonal lines come together. Horizon Line (aka “Eye Level Line”): This an imaginary line represents the farthest distance in the background. In perspective drawing, a horizon line is the height of the viewer’s eyes. So, when objects are centered on the horizon line, they are sitting at your eye level. If you place an object below the horizon line, the viewer will be looking down at the object, while placing an object above the horizon line gives the illusion that it is floating above the viewer’s head. That is from a lesson in two point perspective. Your base line of sight goes upwards to the centre of your eye level, this point depends on your eye height above the floor and is your visual capacity at any height, this line of sight will be extended with camera equipment. Anything further than your visual capacity (the horizon) is lower than your line of sight so objects further than this point get lower and lower the further they go, your visual horizon is not going to move.

You are showing line of sight not curvature? If you put the camera lower to the ground you would see even less of the boat.
exactly.... the higher my line of sight..the more boat you see.... the lower..the less.... and why is that.... because the earth is not flat....IF..it was.. i would the same amount of ship..from any height...
@@malcy34 No there is no curvature, do you think "a curve" comes towards you when you put your eyes just above the waterline and cannot see very far to the horizon/line of sight/convergence of orthogonal lines?

Satellites....not to sure.... due to their size..however the ISS can be done... but i don't think its easy due to the speed it passes over.....
