This video brings me so much joy hahaha
Man, this was a trombone orgy. Outstanding.
MagicAL. Mr White is a genius,
No!! Ezt nem lehet iskolában tanítani, csodálattal illik hallgatni, kevés embernek "adatik" ekkora tehetség,most itt ketto is hallható!
Wow! What a pleasure and privilege to listen to two giants of music.
Барабанщик - класс!
What are you doing NOW, Alistair?
James is my favorite soloist in any instrument. Such a talented musician.
Have just met my father for the first time since I was 5, I'm now 53!! He is Terry Chapman jazz musician, he informed me that Alistair White played in his band! How cool is that!
Hi Felicity, not sure you’ll get this, but how is your Dad? Please send my love to him. I loved our days with the sounds 18 big band traversing the hills of east Lancashire. Lovely man 👊🏼👍🏼
@@AlistairWhite hi! Funnily enough I've just recently seen him again for a couple of days, including watching him have a band practice session in is current band. He's playing the bass trombone. Still going strong at 83! I will tell him you messaged when I speak to him on Sunday, I imagine he will be most chuffed you replied.
what song is this!!
Wow - James Morrison on trombone - so relaxed and swinging.....with a beautiful sweet tone!! The other 'bone looks terrified - plays stiffly and overblows - trying too hard with those puffed out cheeks? IMHO 😉
I love Alistair's blood and guts on this! Awesome! I'm surprised that horn is still one piece! 🤣
Um verdadeiro show, incrível, muito bom, James Morrison espetáculo
Alistair is absolutely on fire-what a sound and his facility is astonishing, especially at that volume. Love James Morrison’s genuine joy and appreciation of Alistair’s playing, too! Morrison is, of course, incomparable himself. Two absolute monsters, having a blast-love it!
they look like how they sound on trombone
Я сам трубач очень джазовые музыку. Раньше на коде мог взять соль 3 октавы, а теперь старик работаю сторонам, но музыку люблю.
Great example of a sweet versus bright bone tone
Looks like a king trombone. The best dance band trombone. Had one loved it. I had a king 2b.
Is this a standard or something? Whats the name of this song? (amazing playing btw)(i wanna know the name because im transcribing this with James Morrison and Alastair White staves)
It's called Benno's Blues. How did you get on with the transcription? It's a tough one!
Tocando el trombón como si fuera trompeta
4:24 **moves slide** **plays same note anyways**
The second note is a blue note or in between the two pitches check your ears not ya eyes
@@cocamojack7793 Nah homie its the same note. He's playing a high Bb but in 1st, 3rd, and 5th position on the horn. Which is technically possible but quite difficult. Just small tuning differences between the three.
@@nickmoseley3901 the intonation between the notes won’t be the same because of the position difference. Yes it’s the same note, but it won’t sound the same if you listen carefully
@Fight For Freedom ok dude I get what your saying but at some point you gotta admit that James Morrison is a professional player that knows what’s up (I’ve heard this trick a lot on trombone here’s an example: ua-cam.com/video/fO1UDyxgtEc/v-deo.html at 1:19) and the other thing is your criticizing a jazz trombone technique, and in a jazz community, you usually don’t do this so stick on classical music observations
what kind of trombone is Morrison playing this time? I'm guessing is a Schagerl but what model is that?
It's a schargel superbone
@Carl Ferrigno I guess that's the serial number. It matters to me as I have never seen a design like that. Thanks
For Morrison everything is easy, either trumpet, or trombone! Great musician👍
Morrison brilliant as always, but I find it physically painful to watch the lead trumpet player breath.
Ah yes, I hate it when they breathe. He will never understand the no-breath technique.
wow, you just made my week, month, just YESSSSS
Both are amazing!
Bravo! So fun!!
Brilliant!
ningun contrabajista,,,toca,,como ray brown ,lamentablemente
Fucking awesome!
Wow! The smiles at about 6:50 tells it all!
this dummer looks like a cartoon character
Why comment on how people look like?!? Need tho strengthen your self-esteem?
Magnar Fjørtoft because its funny? Why do you get so butt hurt about a little joke?
I simply did not get the joke.
Just keep your cool and enjoy the music ;)
Qwerty He does! The big nose, the silly smile , etc LMAO
Both are fabulous - I am drawn to the roughness and power of Alistair Whites playing! ;-)
Alistair's playing is nice but I like Morrison's melodic licks and smooth rich tone.
Excellent bigbanf
alistar white is an absolute madman my god
awesome
amazing!
Holy crap the lick at 2:48, genius
agreed
What the tool from Alistair?
Holy moly....!
Rachel Galindo this could be us but you playing
wonderful....thanks for posting!
Man, blow that bone!
What's the name of this song?
+Jesse Cortez It's called "Benno's Blues". James wrote it for our 30th Big Band Birthday. I've asked James to write a song for our Bandleader as a birthday gift. Check youtube for Big Band Liechtenstein or Benno's Blues. Best regards Juergen
Alistair Great Sounds !
Incredible, loved Morrison's use of alternate positions at 4:21
Brilliant Alistair! Keep it coming.
Great playing Al!
Crazy good! Almost meets the Big Sam/Trombone Shorty echelon.
Almost? I'm a hardcore fan of James and Shorty, but to say that James Morrison doesn't match up to Trombone Shorty- and especially Big Sam- is a gross underestimate of James' skill.
Mike Adkins morison est le meilleur!!sonorite et technique je suis musicien et je sais la difficulté de ces instruments!! il est aussi bon que faddis et sandoval!!!
killer!
