The elves just look amazing
This is one of my favorite scenes.
When I first saw this scene years ago, I cried tears of joy. I could feel everyone’s hopes rising in the room. Then I found out it wasn’t even in the book! Which makes this scene so much more special
One of the best scenes in the series :)
It is sad that this scene never happens in the book, but for some Peter Jackson reason, is added to the movie. Yet, the movie totally ignores the Dunedain, also known as the Númenóreans or Men of Westernesse, of whom Aragorn was recognized as heir to the Kingship, joining him in Rohan. They were the Rangers of the North who, at Gandalf's request, watched over protected the Shire and followed Aragorn through the Paths of the Dead. They could have easily been added to the movie. In the book, Haldir has one short line and never leaves the tree he is hiding in.
legatus Glaber lol
I want to watch this series again the x thousandth time
Why are there no black elves?
“Alright, peace out Elf dude.” -Producer Guy
The music... Goosebumps
Just thinking as aragorn went in for that hug... Based on the way he looked, he probably hadnt bathed in ages and smelled to the high heavens.
This scene is epic. LOTR
Elrond: The humans need help at helms deep. Galadriel: But who to send? Celeborn: Isn't Haldir expendable? Elrond: The fat one? Galadriel: Perfect! Haldir: ....
Please pin this 📌 If you are here to pay respects to "Bernard Hill" aka Théoden King died May 5th 2024 RIP you will b missed 🕊
One of the best deviations from the books. Much better than the army of the dead at Pelenor Fields, I was looking forwards to seeing an army of rangers and the Gondorians Aragorn picked up swinging to the rescue.
My favorite scene. I used to watch it over and over again just to see him refer to the alliance of old. The fact that elves would live so, so much longer did they not fight? I "feel" the sacrifice they are making... (And yes. I know this is not in the book. ☺️ Still. 🥺)
I love this scene 🎉
The death I hated most. That of Haldír. And of course, Boromir.
One of my favourite scenes
no idea why the algorithm dug this up. must be because of Rings of Power lol. this is the right way to do creative license
we come to honor that allegiance
Anyone else noticing how Smug Legolas was looking whilst standing behind Haldir?
The elves are here to save theoden and his people from theoden’s shitty decision 😂
I love how you can see all the other soldiers faces excited cause they know they stand a better chance
Unfortunately John Snow was the main strategist of this battle XD
Back in the time when adding non-canon scene was actually a good move
Elves love a god old dramatic entrance dont theu 1st battle of 5 armies now 2 towers 😂
Haldir ❤
That's reason why the elves turned when legolas is there, he is the aon of king. I just read the comment. Hehe. I love legolas so much
Sorry, call me a purist but I saw no point in this addition. However, I will note that PJ cut his teeth on slasher movies so I shouldn't be surprised at such nonsense coming from him.

Yes even though this wasn't in the book, this was one of the best scenes in the trilogy. Goosebumps...."We are proud to fight alongside Men once more." Badass!!!
Wish the elf's would fire once within reach not give them time to
When helldivers finally let’s Xbox players in the party
Man its been so long and its still slaps me dizzy everytime
My dad (who is a Tolkien nut) would whisper to me at various points “This wasn’t in the book.” or “This happens at a different time.” Here, he was dead silent and I thought “Oh this must be in the book.” Afterwards, we went out for Burger King and were talking about the movie and I mentioned the Elves arriving. He said “It wasn’t in the book but it was so awesome I chose not to say anything.”
Some college students signed up to march to the helms deep in exchange for a checque.
Still saddened me, all of them parishes in the battle. I saw no elf left but Legolas when Gandalf came to rescue
Everyone loves elves
Aragorn was so damaged, hopeless, miserable but in the same time so blessed with friendship, love and respect in all 3 Movies. FAV CHARACTER ALL THE WAY
It’s crazy looking at all the elves knowing one of them will let out an ear piercing Wilhelm scream!
Not in the book , and yet, so epic and well made.
This is not in the book, but it's a wonderful addition and no one will complain. If you need to alter the book story, this is how you do it.
Although this wasn’t in the books I wasn’t pissed. The elves played a huge part fighting orcs in the north (lothlorien defeat 3 armies sent by Sauron) however we would never see that in these movies so the elves at helms deep is basically Peter Jackson’s way of showing the elves actually fucking did something. We see that effect when most people (again unless you read the books/played War in the North) don’t realise the massive war the Dwarves fought because it isn’t in these movies
I was waiting for Santa Claus to lead the elves..
Bruh! 😂😂😂
LOTR should be made into 9 movies saga
Elf what is you're profession?
rest in peace Bernard Hill... we come to honor thee in ages
Backup :)🔱
I've alwas wondered: Do elves just not hug in their culture? They seem almost adverse to touching one another or other beings, as if that's simply not the done thing where they're from.
