surf rock and classic halloween monsters are linked in everyone's minds right? because of the munsters i think?
anyway this started as an attempt to recreate cool guitar tones and then i thought "you know that this needs? a theremin" and then it became this sort of fun spooky track, so i figured i'd release it for halloween. if you like this kind of sound then you should totally check out the ghastly ones, that's their whole bit and it's really good stuff
i know it's been a while since i've uploaded, honestly i've been really burnt out on the channel. working on the usual covers can still be fun but it hasn't been creatively fulfilling lately, i feel like i put myself in a box with the 8 bit stuff and even though i like it, it is starting to feel a bit stifling. i do want to come back to this channel but i need to rethink my approach, try some new things out. i might still do an 8 bit cover when i want to, but i don't want it to be the only thing i do here is i guess what i'm saying. if you've been sticking with the channel through all the inconsistency i wanna say thanks for the patience

hey thanks for listening! slides are a built in feature in beepbox and its various mods, which is what i use for these covers. that's part of the reason i use it, because i really like that effect and i get frustrated trying to recreate it smoothly in other programs. sorry i can't be more help with that one, i wish more programs handled slides the way beepbox does honestly, it's got a lot of cool features for something free and browser based

hey, not an odd question at all! as long as people credit me i’m totally happy with them using my covers in projects. if the game is getting some sort of a paid release on steam or something then i’m actually not sure how it works out with copyright and this being a cover and all, i would have to check about that as i don’t think my permission would be enough. but if it’s just like a free game then there shouldn’t be any issues, go right ahead with using the song. i think it’s super cool and flattering that you thought of this song to use, and i would love to check out the game when it’s released
