I'm a big The Who fan, and this is one of my favorite songs. But DAMN! They nailed it. Jeff Ament channeled John Entwhistle on this. He had that Bass twanging like Thunder Fingers himself.
How incredible must it be to just be able to jam like that?? Wtf did I just watch…. For the love of God that is some incredible talent and passion… speechless
Eddie Vedder definitely did that song epically ❤️ ❤️ the only thing I would say is the drum riff was a little too fast, I must say an 80s band that maybe some don't remember but I'm old enough to remember it a band name wasp although I was not really into their music I have to say they did an excellent rendition of this song even the drum riff was on point! playing drums as a female for over 30 years Eddie Vedder other than Rodger himself... Definitely sang the song perfectly! I would have slowed down the drums a little bit until the middle of the song I could not really hear the bass guitar all that well in which coincides in the original version so well Entwistle and Moon came together beautifully in this song when you have an amazing drummer you need equally amazing bass guitarist in the who had that in spades may they both rest in peace ❤️ ❤️
Really good playing of the bass here. Good luck imitating John Entwistle on bass, basically; but Jeff Ament on the bass is solid, steady, and capable throughout, here.
When it's so good, you can't even dream up expletives. (Gasping in amazement here...) BTW, that's NOT how your treat a Gibson Les Paul. I don't care if you're Elon Musk. You don't do that.
Stellar. Mr Ament played about 80% of the notes but they were all of the good ones. Vocals phenomenal. Drums phenomenal.Guitars same. Horns? Sounded great to me. Pearl Jam can flat out play. No limits.
I have never been a Pearl Jam fan. I have called them 'typically talentless grunge band' and so forth. I still can't name one of their original songs that I can stomach, but I must admit my opinion of them being talentless is 100% wrong. It must just be my own taste. Their performance of this song is better than some of The Who's live performances. In fact, most attempts to cover this song make me angry because they are terrible. Seeing this has made me feel better about humanity in general, since it makes me feel that maybe more of my negative opinions about many things may just be my subjective taste.
when prince throws his guitar in the air his bodygaurd is there to catch it....... watching that les paul hit the ground at the end of this song..... and bust in two...... is hard to watch. no matter how much money u got to waste

Each one of you guys KILLED It
Lo único bueno que han tocado en su vida😂
The Best Cover EVA. The Who would be proud. That Energy on stage is incredible 🙂🤘
Cool version. Ament did a great job.
If your band sucks? Play a Who song. It'll get you by✌
Come back to this version every now and then ,PJ did the who justice on this one and he Townsend,d his guitar at the end
thanx guys, the WHO is the best
I’ve never seen this before now. What an incredible tribute to the Who. ❤
Grandissimiiiii👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪

Best song Pearl Jam ever played.
Wow...they nailed it. Eddie was spot on with his vocal. The bassist got it right, too. Ya, this is not an easy song. Hats off to Pearl Jam.
damn righteous Eddy and mates
They really went all out on this one. Especially Jeff Ament, who's doing a great musical impression of John Entwistle.
I’m not a fan of Pearl Jam but that was an impressive vocal performance by Eddie vetter.
I can feel a Joe cocker vibe in his voice big time ❤
PJ caputured the spirit of this song. The N. R. G. dang😮
I was lucky enough to see this performance in-person. Be sure to see « Love Reign O’er Me » from the same show.
Jeff Ament and his bass is getting a worked out!! Beautiful job guys!! Thank You for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I don’t often blow smoke but credit where credits due. This simply kicks ass.

Love it! Horns and Townshend like jumps with smashed Les Paul. Nothing not to like about this.
Thank you for posting.
Awesome version. Thanks PJ

Fuckin hell, fantastic x
God, this cover is insanely good.
I wasn't sure how I was going to fell about this but damn great performance!!!!!! Way exceeded my expectations
Impressive. As a Who fan, all my respect to Pearl Jam. Bravísimo.
This is actually a pretty rockin' cover version!
Wow! Impressive. The best cover of this most difficult who track I have seen.
this is by far the best live version ever...better than the Who.
Great Cover. Mike channeling Pete Townshend. Only thing missing is Eddie swinging the mic like Roger Daltrey.
😮Not bad at all
Fantastic
The Who needs this bass player after Pino left
Horiffic cover. way too fast, NO pasion what so ever, all the people that big this up have no music brain.......
You have no music 🧠 I guess your the only one that doesn't like it, no passion?????? You got to be kidding, you must be watching something else. 🤗✌️
Great but John his baselines are missed
HTF DID I NOT KNOW THIS EVEN EXISTED??😳
Mike was possessed.
Love the red siluett of Jimmy the mod walking towards them on the screens. Such attitude from only a line.
I never did Pearl Jam much. But hat's off to them for covering this song. Well done gentlemen
This Les Paul has only three minutes to live..
when prince throws his guitar in the air his bodygaurd is there to catch it....... watching that les paul hit the ground at the end of this song..... and bust in two...... is hard to watch. no matter how much money u got to waste
Long Live ROCK 😆✌️
Stone is killing it
