This is a training video to demonstrate how to change the radio configuration from "rover mode" to "base station" on a Topcon GPS antenna using Digital UHF radios. The software on the Topcon FC250 data collector is Pocket 3D version 9.2.1.

    It is true that you can damage the radio board if you use your GR3 (or any Topcon GNSS receiver) without an antenna attached. In this case, I only had the GR3 powered on for the duration of the video and didn't bother to attach the antenna. Definitely not a "best practice" on my part.

    I've been advised not to turn on my GR-3 without an antenna attached. Has this caused you issue?
