My name is Pavel Danko.
As a custom saddle maker I would like to share my passion for leather on this channel. It will include different parts of leathercrafting, talking about many methods, leathers and tools used. Mostly showing how great it feels to make something with my own hands. And maybe some of my free time activities

Did you modify the presser foot to make it more flat so as not to leave any marks?
Did you customize that presser foot?

Super quality!!! Thank you, Pavel, for such a beautiful saddle you have made for me!!!
Very nice 👍
Nice work. What is the bracelet seated on?
Thank you. It's Termomorph from Amazon.
beautiful work
thank you
That looks like some skill to cut lengths that long and straight by hand! Are you using some special knife or guide? I’m more of a rider than a craftsman, but I’m starting to get into it, repairing all my broken gear!
What color antique finish did you use ?
Sheridan brown
سلام وقت بخیر من شما رو در اینستا گرام دنبال میکنم چگونه میتوانم از لین نمونه زین شما اسکلت با اندازه های دقیق بسازم جهت قالب گیری با فایبرگلاس ممنون از شما
This is beautiful. What I am interested in is your padded cinch connectors. These go on your mohair cinches where the attach at the billet and the cinch strap. I would like to purchase a set for my cinch.
Thank you. Please send me a message with attached photo of your mohair cinch with the detail of the buckle. You can contact me on Instagram @pdsaddlery or Facebook Pavel Danko Saddlery and Leathercraft. Or my email is pdsaddlery@gmail.com

Completely useless at this speed
Hello, I have been working on a tooled belt the last few days and I’m trying to figure out at which point to apply Neatsfoot oil. I’ve already dyed the belt after tooling it, and I’ll also be putting a decorative stitch on the belt as well. So at which point should I apply Neatsfoot oil? Should I apply after dyeing (I used Eco flo antique gel) but before stitching? Or should I apply the oil after dyeing and after stitching? Should I have applied the oil before dying but after tooling? Should I not apply it at all on a belt? Thanks
Hello gel antique is not dye and seals the leather grain somewhat so oil before. But if used leather dye, then dye before oil. You can still oil after gel antique . But antique hoes more evenly if oiled first. I hope it helped
Hi, how do I restore this kind of leather? I bought a thrifted belt, the back of the belt has small cracks and the sides were slightly worn out and faded. What products can I use?
Hi Andrea. I always start with glycerin soap to clean leather, lemon juice helps with stains and mold. Then light coat of warm neatsfoot oil. Second coat after 24 hours if leather is too dry or thick leather. Edges can be be slicked with saddle soap. After oil has penetrated you can use antique finish paste like in the video and a sealer afterwards. I hope it helped
@@paveldanko9386 thank you ☺
Very nice work! Did you use any resist?
Thank you. No resist thus time. Just 1 coat of neatsfoot oil

Pretty nice leather work/carving. Got to admit though that now a days I won't carve anything on a belt that has flowers on it.

Is heating better than straight from the bottle?
Yes heating helps more even and deeper penetration, especially the first coat.. Sometimes I don't heat up on the second coat
I would like to see a finished video or picture.
Video coming soon. Photos can be found on my Instagram @pdsaddlery. If you have any questions let me know
