Feel bad for all the people affected by this monster. I donated and sent supplies to my home state of TN was was destroyed on the east side. Luckily I'm on the west side of the state, we got a lot of rain but it was over about 3 days so we didn't have flooding issues. Hopefully the unaffected residents of the other states are taking care of each other.
From 2:17 to 4:36 i forgot to put in the concrete rods to hold up the wooden boards as i pour the concrete for the new steps that's being installed.
At 2:17 that was way 2 much concrete being poured.
At 2:17 oops well that wasn't supposed to happen😯😯😯
Cool I had a HZ Holden station wagon that always remindered me of it 🇦🇺
Hows it going you still have it ? I can imagine how much time you've put into it after seeing the video of the day you got it I thought it was a 1978 model I have one How did you go with the front master cylinder ? I saw one fella who pulled one apart, he painted the plastic reservior black and that looked alright but when he reassembled it it was leaking I replaced mine about eight years ago with one off ebay it looks like a later Yamaha type with a square aluminium reservior I think it's a 14mm cylinder it's Chinese at the time it cost about $35 Australian it even came with a spare piston and seals that I fitted a couple of years ago but for what I paid it's been excellent The only problem was instead of the left hand thread for the mirror it had a right hand thread so I got a mirror adaptor for it I've been meaning to buy another one as a spare they now cost around $45au I'd prefer the original type I could rebuild the original but the plastic reservoir is pretty sad so I've been keeping an eye out for a reasonable one secondhand Have you looked at the back master cylinder ?
I rebuilt my master cylinders. I think I had to replace the front. I have the bike in storage now. This bike is just like one my dad had, he sold it to his brother, years later the brother gave it back to dad. I bought it from him, sold it in 2000. I regretted it. I found this one, and dad insisted I buy it. I'm moving, building a new house, garage, and more, so very busy. The well install video will be posted soon..
@@mypcmed64 Very good Shame you sold your dad's SR I did 50,000 kilometres on a 78 in the 1980s Got this one nine years and 80,000 kilometres ago, I'm reliving my youth It now has more than 140,000 kilometres on it and I've got it pulled apart hopefully I'll have it back on the road in a month or so the frame is repainted and back on wheels I've gotta reassemble the motor it's rebored new 4th oversize Wiseco piston new valves new cam cam chain cam chain sprockets replaced most of the gearbox with a secondhand one from an XT500 and too many other new small parts to mention Cases are cleaned just gotta put it all together might put the case bearings in today Waiting on new oil pump rotors from Japan but that's not stopping me from putting the cases back together, parts from Japan don't take too long to get here and if need be I could put the oil pump then clutch back in once the motor is back in the frame Good luck with your new place and the move Say g'day to your dad for me I miss mine
@@mypcmed64 Well install video ? Are you digging a well ?
@@hodaka1000 I had one drilled. It is uploading now. Very slow
@@mypcmed64 Drilled ? I suppose it's what we'd call water boring when I've seen it done it was about a 5 inch hole
What milage is on it ? Judging by the condition of the seat cover it couldn't have done to many miles Are you sure it's a 1981 ? I thought only the 78 and 79 models had the rear disc brake It's looks like a 1978
I recently bought the 6500 inverters with panels and 4 batteries. One battery bad out of box and shipping it back. Been alot of frustrating days before that. I'm actually considering a more simple inverter from sun gold because of less bells and whistles ( electronics). That's me but still have the eg4 6500 system.
For the money they charge, and the extent of time they have been having bad reviews, you would think they would have made support better, and add some extra quality assurance in the products before shipping. I don't know how they stay in business
Look forward to seeing it coming back together, great bikes!
Frame paint comes in tomorrow. I will paint it Sunday. After that it can start being put back together. I sandblasted and put rust dissolver on the frame a few days ago. It in primer now, waiting for paint.
The correct mechanical term is 'dismantling' .
Either term is correct..
Great content, just unfiltered passion
Thank you
Bike looks great buddy, it’s amazing to see it running and looking like it is. I appreciate your passion for these bikes. Happy your the purchaser on it and cant wait to see what else you do to it.
I just rode it to the gas station. It needs tires.. fun to ride.
Lol. Well, when you don't have a ramp, one must improvise. Good job man!
There was no way for me to unload it by myself except for a crane..
Two 6500ex's. Pure JUNK from communist China. QC and customer service sux in the USA. Most people have zero integrity. Churches are full of hypocrites. Don't waste your money at SS. Alt-E will cost you more, but you'll get a better product and better customer service.
They are not the only ones with issues. August 1st i ordered a system from sungold power and now i am getting the runnaround with one excuse after another that they didnt have batteries in stock and then it was batteries and panels and then batteries were in customs hold. The other night they offered to switch the batteries from rack mount to wall mount. Just to get the thing sent i said ok. Still no shipping info sent🤬 So now 26 days later i still dont know what is going on or if it is even being shipped or anything. Im about to contact the state attorney generals office. I am pretty ticked off right now.
Same thing with there lifepower 48 volt batteries had to change one bms due not charging all the way to 100 percent and now the other battery is only charging to 84 percent and the want me to open it up and send them pictures of that one. I told them to send me a return slip and they could replace it.
I had a similar issue took 1-2 weeks for them to get back to me on a 6k growatt finally got it all squared away. I hope they make this right with you.
So far they have not reached back out to me to attempt a resolution
I had the same problem with them🙆🏾🙆🏾🙆🏾🙆🏾
They pretty much stole 1300 from me..

🌊⛲🏖🏗🏝🌪 Hurricane Ian Documentary 2023 ~ Southwest Florida Changed Forever ua-cam.com/video/Oh8TUlSV2uU/v-deo.html
So depressing seeing this island ravaged like this…my grandparents lived in Sanibel from 1975 until 2005. I grew up there in the summers….
It's good to see disaster relief in the form of fema out there helping. I just question the quality of that help ,that aid if you will . Fortunate to have it there helping .🤞
I was there, saw a lot of fema contractors, hundreds of power trucks from all over the country, police from miami, new york, and many other places. The rest was property owners hiring contractors for cleanup. I was one..
Where did all of the thousands of people relocate to??
Lots of the people have two homes, those on the island.
but ... if those houses have not been opened up and work on, they will likely be full of mold and not salvageable; thousand will have to be torn down including devastated condo complexes ...
There are over 100 demo crews working on the houses to remove Sheetrock and insulation to do mold remediation and dry out the houses. Average temp down there is upper 80's during the day.
What can be done about all those pools of stagnant water that seem to be just about everywhere?
Have to let them soak in. Time will fix it
Is it me or is there alot of good / salvageable things being thrown away?
All saltwater damaged
@@mypcmed64 Ok - just some things like those motorcycles and the generator seemed undamaged...
@@rangerrick8220 I looked at them, they were obviously under water at some point. The video doesn't do justice ...
And it’s not JUST salt water, it’s “sludge” water. A combo of salt water & watever else it may have dredged up on its way outa the Gulf! Pretty slimey, really - even when it dries to a matte grey, it’s still slick to walk on, & u can’t get it out of an engine or a motor, or something with gears! Or carpet, or most furniture....very damaging!
Thanks. Your video shows the newer piling homes on Sea Oats built to code suffered little apparent damage and the older ones don't look too bad, either. But there's a lesson for those who put living quarters on the first level.
I did find homes whose foundations had shifted from the storm surge. It seems to depend on location.
♾📠🤢Ghost Island. 🌊♻🏖🔄🌪
Last 5 years,------ Irma was a" 100 year storm"." -----Micheal a 200 year storm" ----- Now Gov Desantis tells us Ian was a" 500 biblical storm"" Joe Taxpayer here " Hey folks on the beach I'll give some of my $$$ to relocate far from the coast but you get the big bagel 0 if you want to rebuild on the Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
NO PLACE TO DUMP THE FILTH IT IS A HAZARDOUS SCENE.
Fema trucks are coming by and picking up every day. Too much to clean up fast
The apparent lack of cleanup activity is eerie. Six weeks later and areas still look relatively untouched. 😢
There has been a lot of cleanup. Contractors are demoing buildings and putting more on the sides of the road
There’s been a lot of clean up…but these videos show just how much destruction the storm surge caused the island. It will take years to clean up around here. My heart hurts when I see these videos. God bless them.
Some residents haven’t been back yet to “take care of” things. But then there are many who have busy lives elsewhere. It’s hard to know what they’ll decide to do about damage to their places. I’ve seen some valuable properties in pretty bad shape, just untouched.
you shoulnd't use a potato to film things..
My friend had the potato.. I have an okay camera
Ummm, there's no way you're following the 20 mph speed limit. Just sayin'...
I wasn't driving..
I walked 2 miles of w gulf drive 1 week after the hurricane. It did not occur to me to make videos. I have been there doing cleanup, therefore in the middle of it.
Drone vids don’t come near to showing the devastation Hurricane Ian caused. You, sir, got down and dirty and showed the truth of this catastrophe. The opening drive down West Gulf - man, I’ve never seen the extent of loss, of property, of the environment like you’ve recorded.
Im still learning the apps. Tried to respond earlier. I have seen worse, but forgot to video it. They are making awesome progress.
