I am using my library (via Libby). But this year I am tracking how much money I’m saving by borrowing books this way! Most of us pay property taxes to support libraries. They give us books, videos, and a cool or warm place to linger during bad weather. They will help you write a resume, or spelling foreign words…and English words simply by calling the main branch. I used to live in a town that was a one-company town. That year the business closed down and most everyone was out-of-work. First thing to shut down we’re all the local social businesses, restaurants were too expensive to visit. Peanut butter and Jelly were hard to keep in stock. But these families were filling the libraries for entertainment, job searches, etc. I was lucky, I commuted to my job in another city. But every day the library and church parking lots were full. Libraries rock! I always recommend taxpayers support school and library tax levies. Ummm, sorry, this is a subject I’m passionate about.
