I would add a comment about how the defeated ex president Bolsonaro tried to bring the military dictatorship back in 2022.

For those who don't know about the dictatorship in South America: This movie is just a fragment, in real life it is MUCH worse than what you see because everything was done to hide the torture and the interference of the CIA and the FBI of the USA in this thing. For this the movie was made to who watch it feels the pressure and that nothing is happening, even that it is, because was exacly the same feeling at time: you doesn't see, but you feel everthing is wrong. At least 40,000 people were tortured, killed and disappeared in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia, with the training done by the CIA.

It is so disappointing I hope this will not effect Stallon's legacy

Fernanda Torres is incredible in this film.

the first hour is pointless. unnecessary characters and situations that mean nothing to the story. pure boredom to get to a laughable ending. a rich kid cries about his dead dad for 2 hours. the end.

Firstly, I agree with you. Secondly, it’s jaguar, not jag-wire. Thirdly, unless you stayed past the end credits, you have no idea that the teacher and Autumn’s dad actually hook up and live in the jungle with Autumn! My son and I looked at each like “what?!” That was literally the only time the dad and the teacher were on screen together! The post credits! Yikes

The modern accents ruined it from the first scene. I've tried watching it twice but never lasted longer than 30 minutes.

Stanley was found not guilty by a French court in 2022. I can only speculate, but I assume with all the money and whatnot invested in the documentary the filmmakers decided on a storyline that still ignores the verdict, very curious. The movie had to be finished. A friendly reminder that documentaries cannot be taken as fact. Once you point that camera the performances begin, and that allegedly includes Tracey Robertson (aka "Scarlett Amaris"--why the pseudonym?) and her apparently false claims.

Thanks for reviewing the movie! Matt Busch quite often covers some of the reasons for the decisions leading to the final product of the first movie. On his UA-cam channel he walks through some of those if interested in a deeper perspective.

Not to be rude, but is there any reason why you didn’t mention that Timestalker is a comedy?

The problem is with exploring Romero's "resident evil" is, sadly we can't get his side of what happened, and two.. there isn't much to say. He did a script, the studio didn't like it and that was it. The dude narrating btw was the original Albert Wesker, that's pretty neat

Just one point of contention... It's actually quite common for documentaries that utilize textual quotes to have them read by a narrator. You see that used more in historical documentaries that pull from sources where some or all of the participants have passed away.

I watched it and it was so underwhelming and boring. Lewis as bill is just as ridiculous as a woman named bill. She wasn't very intimidating throughout the movie and even was going to let the mans grandpa live, until he shot at her! Hows that for a killer? It was suggested that Lewis's character, "cut throat bill" ( i can't say that name with a straight face 😂 ), was a lesbian but she never made a pass at the woman she kidnapped. Heck, only the two men traveling with cut through bill tried to "grape her" yet bill never laid a finger on her, despite seemingly attracted to her, when she first laid her eyes on her. The director didnt want to make bill a gun wielding butch dyke, so they kept her character's sexual preference anonymous. Lewis's character "bill" was soft as baby shit but did the best she could with such a horrible script.

I just watched this relentlessly hilarious & horrendous movie. I literally couldn't stop. Compelled to see just how bad it could get. The list of issues & reasons are too numerous & obvious to list, but if you haven't seen it, believe me, it makes Tommy Wiseu look like Orson Welles. Hurley's son has grown up around producers, directors, writers & actors, yet this happened? Even his mother suddenly forgot how to act. Yes, she was always a bit of a scenery eating Joan Collins, but there have been instances where she did fine. This though... even down to the way she moves in the film is just all too unbelievable to conceive. This movie makes 90s Cinemax soft core schlock and Mexican telenovelas look like Citizen Cane.

Still looks good to me. Imaginative. Non woke. Bit steampunky. With edge and sex appeal. I'll take that over the 2019 film any day. And I actually like that movie!

Did you even watch? The movie is full of experts who call him out for being unscientific. They talk about him dumping his ex for having cancer and he doesn't even defend himself against the allegations. Why would they show this in a 'buff piece'? The movie is full of shots of him staring at his own social media pages and being narcissistic. I think it shows a complex picture of the guy, not positive or negative

I thought the direction and the cinematography was amazing. However, the script was a complete let down to me. The acting was top tier too. Hated the 2nd and 3rd act.

Hit the nail on the head the movie is full of white washing and takes it self way too serious the story doesn’t flow and character motivations aren’t explain chase scenes are drawn out and full of shakey cam Also the main character is painfully unlikeable and next to zero arch it also just constantly borrows from Star Wars to the point of annoyance

It was very funny, i don't laugh alot, and this did achieve something i didnt think possible
