    5:15 one of my tabs snapped when I took this off.. now it doesn’t stay pushed in. Is this easy to fix?

    • @T-MillProductions
      @T-MillProductions День тому

      So there’s 2 ways you can fix it, either buy a new connector and splice it in, or get a zip tie and try to hold it on with that. I’ve had to do that with coil plugs before and it worked well

      Something about these aftermarket ones don’t seem to work in these things. Years ago when ford still made brand new ones I was gonna buy one but couldn’t afford it and everyone on the forums said to go oem and not use reman parts store alternators.

    Why not just click the starter motor a couple times to rotate the driveshaft

    • @T-MillProductions
      @T-MillProductions 9 днів тому

      Because this is an automatic and that won’t do anything. The driveshaft connects to the PTU which connects to the transmission which is connected to the engine. If you crank the starter that just spins the motor over. The car has to be in gear for the driveshaft to move

    That bottom bolt holding the ECU is ridiculous. Thanks for posting. I definitely see why the dealership doesnt replace that filter (under battery) with the typical service. Thank God I replaced it. That thing was nasty black. I just bought the vehicle with 140K and doubt it had ever been replaced. I disconnected the coolant lines to ensure that i could clean the area that oring seats. I about messed up and didnt realize the black seal on the actual filter was still inside. Had to use a pick to get it out.

      Had a reputable service tech do an emergency call. Could spend a lot of cash to fix. He only recommended to buy a better one. Six year old Mr. Heater and second service call in three years. That’s starting after the third year. He jumped everywhere and still couldn’t get it to fire up.

      Interesting, so what actually was wrong with it tho? Bad igniter or bad valve? These heaters are pretty easy to fix, I’m just trying to understand what was so hard to fix that he said to buy a different one. All the parts for all these heaters are made in china anyway.
