Sadly yeah. The devs themselves said it’s a different game made for a different playerbase…… This is why many of us still only play pso2, and refuse to touch NGS, even for the SG
w/ ph fast tech casting, in most scenarios it's worth casting zv each marker det, especially on rifles already low(er) damage comparatively to the other weapons. But still gj doing this w/ rifle!
Hey I just started depth clearing sodam with ph rifle and your video really helps me out with it. Also, what is the voice you're using? I don't play with jp voices so I'm not sure if that's a base voice or a scratch item. Is it JP exclusive?
Thank you! The voice I'm using in this video is "[EX] Voice A16: Yui Hasegawa" I think it's a JP exclusive from a promotional event in 2016.
Damn my gameplay is actually really similar to this but I'm struggling for DPS at stage 70 because I can't get my hands on the S4 steadfast or klaus units yet. Doing 300k per counter instead of the 400k here.. One weird thing I see is how fast you can detonate marker, for me it seems like I have to hold the weapon action for like half a second for it to actually works.
How does your Skill Tree look like for Rifle Phantom?

Also, depending on how much pp you have and if you use Rod when playing phantom, I'd move the Mark PP Drain and Mark Heal points into Sprint Tech Charge, Ambivalence, Tech Charge Perf. Attk Addition, and Photon Stream.

Thanks! The JP names for the SSAs are in the description but for the global translations, they're: s1 Augment Will 2, s2 & s3 precision will 2, s4: steadfast will, s5: steadfast expanse, s6: skillful adept, s7: fortified ranged 2, s8: skydance support.

The ending animation of shift kugelsturm has plenty of i-frames. So after I get impaled with her spikes/swords, I let go of shift Kugelsturm's button and the i-frames save me.

Damn, I feel like I've been doing Rifle Phantom wrong. I keep using shift Kugelsturm for DPS, when just normal attacking is doing more damage. I barely finished Depth 50 yesterday with my build (I have 220~ atk on my units, except leg which has 175 on it). Also, how did you get Mark Joyo (which I assume is Mark Joy on global?) on your units? I thought those were exclusive to weapons.
Mark capsules are available during the SG support scratch on JP servers (unfortunately, I don't believe they're available on Global). Also, a lot of people fall into the trap of using shift Kugelsturm as their main dps method. Normal Attacks/Step Attacks with Counter Shots will yield a much higher dps in all situations (especially if you have "s4:steadfast will" since it will also increase your counter shot damage by 13%).
@@murakumomech5128 I'm starting to see that after moving my Steadfast Will to my Klaus rifle (and replacing Timeflow Will with Agressive Will 2), yea, it can do a lot more damage when done right. I just hope I don't cramp my hands as I go deeper trying this. XD I'm also gonna try to make a better Leg Klaus unit, ditch the Grand Stamina for a Grand Precision, ect.
@@JessePrower Sounds good 👍Also, s1:augment will 2 should be getting cheaper since as time goes on, more people are completing the higher depths and more augment will 2s are dropping (an extra 2% dmg increase over aggressive will 2 can save you some extra time). Good luck on the runs!!
@@murakumomech5128 Aug Will 2 has a higher damage mod than aggressive will 2? I thought it doubled my stats from the augs on my weapon
@@JessePrower Nah, what you're thinking of is s5: Augment Bloom (this S-Grade augment will double the stats from the augments on your weapon). S1: Augment Will 2 increases your damage by .75% for every augment affixed to a weapon. If you have 8 augments on your weapon, you'll get a 6% dmg increase.
I was wondering if I could still accomplish depth 100 even if I'm not on Guardian souls like you are - sure I foresee I'll take longer but Im hoping it's not impossible :'D
Yeah, it's definitely possible without guardian soul units. As long as the s-abilities on your weapon are in order and you have a decent amount of atk from your units, you'll be good to go.👍
@@murakumomech5128 I see! well thanks to your setup, I was interested in trying to get a Steadfast will... and honestly just trying your method of mostly counters really shaved off a minute or 2 on my current times as I'm climbing to 100. I just wonder if my Escalating Pursuit and Mysterious Purpose would still be enough. I could get calming intent but I'll have to get used to not relying on my dps heals... and steadfast will is still really expensive in the market right now. Also don't have the crit S6 sadly yet too tho
@@Dogrethson Mysterious Purpose/Skillful Adept Will is still great as an s5. The only reason I'm using s5:Steadfast Expanse/Calming Expanse is because I'm already at 100% crit chance without it (60% from having 300pp, 20% from crit ring, 15% from s6, and a random 5% from somewhere XD). If you're not at 100% crit chance without mysterious purpose and crit s6, I'd highly recommend mysterious purpose over calming/steadfast expanse. It's unfortunate that s4:steadfast will is still expensive too. You should still be safe with escalating pursuit but if you find yourself running low on time in depth 100, i'd think it'd be a good idea to get it then.

Thank you! And yeah, ph rifle's PA are pretty slow so step attacks with counter shots is a pretty good method of dealing with Sodam.

@@FallenLegionaire For the right ring, I would use C-Strike (called Critical Strike on Global) since it gives you 20% extra crit chance on melee, ranged, and technique weapons as well as 3% extra crit dmg (it's a combined ring so you'll have to get ranged, strike, and technique crit rings at level 20 and combine them [but using the ranged crit ring is fine if you're only playing phantom rifle]). As for the left ring, Phantom Lock-On Bomb is great because you can detonate the marker on the enemy part you're locked onto (like the head or other enemy weakpoints). You can put left rings onto units with the unit skill addition mechanic from Dudu or Monica, however, I personally don't use phantom shift as I'm not really comfortable with it (however, I've seen some Phantom Katana players using it). The left ring skills I have on my units are currently Jumping[JP]/Leaping[Global] Dodge, Mag Excite[JP]/Excitement[Global], and Atomizer Lovers[JP]/Fanatic[Global]. Sorry for the long explanation, but yeah, C -Strike and Phantom Lock-On bomb are the most important in my opinion.

For enemies that you can abuse with counter shots, yeah (especially if you have s4:calming intent[JP]/s4:steadfast will[Global] since the step attack and the phantom counter are affected by the 13% dmg increase). For stationary/idle targets, Nachtangriff is better.

The true profound darkness Urgent Quest will probably drop somewhere next month on NA (shiva glare augment will drop, which will allow you to make absolute glare and guardian soul). They sure did catch up pretty quick XD
I got to try out divide quest since it hit NA recently and oh boi, I only manage to reach S for depth 16-20, and going for 20-25 I can barely reach A for bosses. (I didn't die even once) definitely must be affixing, definitely not my shitty game play xD
No worries XD. Divide was difficult when it was first introduced on JP servers and practice makes perfect. If you're using a Rivalate weapon, upgrading the potential to 23% and throwing on phrase decay and s4: Steadfast Will(if you're playing phantom rifle) will give you a huge damage boost.
Get to try DQ today, every mistake can lead to dead real quick so I take a 1 or 2 life route maybe I can go all point route after more practice.
Good idea! DQ becomes pretty easy once you memorize the enemy mob spawn locations and their behavior.

@@NetCaffe The ending animation of shift kugelsturm has i-frames. I let go of shift kugelsturm when I get frozen in place. When Shiva uses her insta-kill slash, the animation for the i-frames begin so I avoid getting hit.

How is the damage of phantom compared to damage by hero. I like the phantom style. But i feel like it lacks in damage compared to hero. Whats your opinion?
I admittedly haven't really been keeping up on Hero's damage output (and I'll try to avoid misinformation) but I wouldn't say that Hero would objectively have a higher damage output than Phantom. Unless you're looking at the best Phantom player and comparing him to the best Hero player, it would be very difficult to say one has higher damage than another. Especially since you have to take into account weapons and affixes. But going off of my own past experiences, I would say that Heroes have to work harder to outdamage a phantom of equal skill (since Hero has to avoid the damage penalty from getting hit). But even so, that damage difference isn't high enough to be concerned about which class is stronger.

Yeah. Made the 4 slot units (Guardian Soul, Ether Factor, Absolute Glare, and Returner V) then used augment transfer passes to throw on mana rev, mark joyo, grand shoot, and the s abilities. This unit set was actually new too. The previous units that had Astral Soul are now on my alt. Figured they were still pretty decent so I kept them instead of using them as fodder for Guardian Soul XD
did you speed up video? animation seem to be a little bit faster.
I just noticed that too. Same issue is present on the local video file. Most likely an issue with Nvidia ShadowPlay.
@@murakumomech5128 Maybe, did S4:calming intent and S5:Calming expense increase normal attack DPS by a lot? is it close to nachtangriff or still far from it dps
@@NetCaffe s4: calming intent does increase normal attack dmg by a lot (it also increases phantom counter shot dmg by 13%, so it's pretty much the best s4 for phantom rifle). For s5: calming expanse, I'd only recommend it if your crit chance is maxed. Normally s5: mysterious intent is the "goto" s5 for phantom rifle due to increased crit chance, 2% extra crit dmg, and great healing from phantom rifle's high hit count. However, you're able to max your crit chances by having s6 wise skill, crit ring, and 300 or more pp. This means the only benefit you would gain from s5: Mysterious Purpose is the 2% extra crit dmg and healing. Calming expanse gives 2% dmg, some extra dmg on normals/step attacks (depending on your range from an enemy), and 6 pp per hit. However, even with calming intent and calming expanse, natchtangriff is still superior in terms of dps if you're attacking a stationary/non-attacking attacking target. However, if you're fighting a boss like Persona or Sodam, Calming intent will allow you to out dps natchtangriff by a lot since your step attacks and phantom counters damage are increased by the 13%. Sorry for the long explanation XD
@@murakumomech5128 Never though S4 is more important I alway think S5 make you hit 1 more time with 60/75% damage would mean 60/75% damage increase in normal attack or something close to that but still calming expense in not available yet in global and is it easier to obtain than calming intent?
@@NetCaffe The 60/75% damage is the reference dmg from the spread needle potential, not your rifle's normal attacks. pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Spread_Needle For instance, the level 1 potential for spread needle has an extra attack where for the level 3 potential for spread needle gives 1.5x the damage for the extra attack (150%) assuming you're playing phantom and using the attack at short range. The 60/75% (long range/short range) damage from calming expanse is % dmg from the spread needle's extra attack. The wording definitely can be a bit confusing XD. Calming Expanse is easier to farm and should be really cheap since most people don't use it. Once it comes to global, it should be really easy to get since it is cheap and it drops in seasonal Urgent Quests.

Any tip on phantom rifle? I miss timing dodge attack a lot. and is calming intent hard to get one? I try farming for it 2 day now
Knowing the enemies' attack patterns and their timing is important. For instance, at 1:50 I know that after the first 2 slams, you're able to do 1 normal attack before needing to dodge the 3rd slam. So once you know the timing of enemy attacks, it becomes easier to know when to dodge and when to attack. As for calming intent, yeah it's pretty hard to get. Farming Earth Destroyers(Mother+Deus) Solo Triggers is the optimal way to farm it.

@@NetCaffe Thank you! Hopefully I don't have to affix units ever again. But as far as the difficulty affecting the drop rate of Calming Intent, I couldn't find any evidence that suggests they're different (just rumors). I wish I could've been of more help.
