Переглядів 5262 роки тому
Analytic cubism was invented by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque during the winter of 1909 and 1910, and lasted until 1912. Colors in these paintings were drastically subdued and were nearly monochromatic.

    The Raqqa gate and Ukhaidir are precious survivors of eighth-century Abbasid architecture, almost all other structures dating to that time under that dynasty being lost to time, to the best of my knowledge. With these remaining monuments, we catch a glimpse of the grandeur and aspiration of the new ruling house of imperial Islam.

    Damghan mosque (Tari khane) was built before the advent of Islam. It was a Zoroastrian shrine in the first place then converted into a mosque after Arab's invasion.

    • @anorthedge4422
      @anorthedge4422 Рік тому

      That's not right. The architecture of the Damghan mosque is perfectly Islamic, and cannot be Zoroastrian, though it might have replaced, entirely and completely replaced an earlier building, without any trace of the earlier building being left.

    Thank you! Damqan mosque is called Tari khane, which means House of God, Tari is a Turkish word for god , while Tarik Khane means dark house. Tarik is a Persian word.

    In architecture, a clerestory (/ˈklɪərstɔːri/ KLEER-stor-ee; lit. 'clear storey', also clearstory, clearstorey, or overstorey) is a high section of wall that contains windows above eye level. The purpose is to admit light, fresh air, or both.
