This was recorded on iPhone and doesn't do it justice. The tone is significantly deeper in real life. Unlike the OE exhaust you can actually hear it when riding. This was the best £202 I have ever spent . Fitting took 40 minutes and was really easy.

Slightly too much distortion but a demonstration of playing the Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson guitar parts on one guitar.

The original 1974 version of The Rocker by Thin Lizzy with Gary Moore on guitar.I have slowed down the key parts at the end.Recorded on my Les Paul with a bit too much flanger !!
Thanks Buddy
Good translation to E Standard Micheal...Thank you. 🤘🎸🤘
awesome
Great to see this, thank you.
Great
Thanks michael, i cant be bother with retuning either and Ron does 'hammer on' first as with many of his and Kieths riffs, other peoples videos are incorrect with this, so thanks. From viewers point its alot better to see your guitar flat angled to your fone lens, your middle finger out of the way, and your voice volume equal to guitar volume. Mitchell
How you doing Michael? I see you know this song like the back of your hand. I've played this song also but without all the fills you use which really gives the song much more, thanks. Peace.
thanks!
Great, mate!!! Thanks so much!!!
now i can i can impress my family and friends thx so much!
Thank’s man 😎
Thanks for this. My heart sank when I saw all of the open E tuning lessons elsewhere. Sometimes you just want to pick up and play.
thanks michael
Thank you for showing how to play this in a 'normal' context for those of us who haven't got their slide technique down yet...very helpful...
Not quite as authentic sounding as open E, but this works when I am too lazy to change tuning. Which is most of the time.
Nice playing but that’s not a lesson ?
best ive seen so far at showing this riff...cheers
Thanks for the lesson 😊 I have short fat fingers so I use the E B E G# B E tuning . I find it much easier than the finger stretching in standard tuning . But thanks again anyways 😉
nice keep a little Marc in you heart thanks
Great lesson, quick and clear, thanks for uploading

Eine Frage braucht man für dieses bike einen Motorrad Führerschein?
Nein
Great lesson - just does not need more exotic tunings - super easy for pub /club rock
Nice, thank you.
Wonderful! I love tjius song but I'm no good with a slide either. So glad you shared this so I can try it out. Great job!
Se le puede quitar el db killer?
Good lesson...I prefer to bar the d chord instead of open. Thanks for video!
legit :)
Bad ass man thank u
Thank You!!! 😎👍🎸
Great job on a great song, thanks! 👍👍
Nice one mate👍
nice one man.dig that phase shifter
well done thanks
Like it 😀
I love this guy!
Tanx Michael, i love to play the old "Bolan Boogie" ♪♪
Great! Thanks!
Your beat sucks.
Nice one Muriel !
Awesome but at 808 what is the partial F fingering you used then slid up to G?
Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. Makes it easier to jam with when you don't have to figure pentatonics in an E chord tuning.
Cheers Boss...good stuff...
6th fret on the G? Are you contortionist? Shit I cant get near it! Thats a wide span 5 frets !
This is excellent, thank you for sharing, Ive been wanting to learn this song for years
Thank-you so much, Mr. Giles, for this fantastic video. With your video, I am actually learning this song! Thank-you.
thanks for the alternate to the slide part. Appreciate you sharing, Thanks !
You play beautiful, but don't like the small screen.
Eric Bell wrote and played all the guitar parts on The Rocker. The intro is a "D" shaped Eb chord, with the root on the D string, first fret, played with the first finger. The chord slides up to the D shaped "A" chord at the 9th fret, with the root on the D string, 7th fret, and the only finger to move is the second finger - which is on the G string, pulling on and hammering off. I have played this song live with both Thin Lizzy and Eric Bell. xx
+seanandben The G to A chords you are playing are both 7th chords, not major chords.
Eric Bell plays guitar on this. Gary Moore was in the promo vid
yes man it was Eric Bell who wrote it but had left soon afterwards.it is Gary Moore in the promo vid. and is just miming over the top-not to say Moore couldn't play it but for reasons of accuracy to the original,he just mimed over the top of it.peace man
