Drone Delivery Granbury, Texas
Tried out a drone delivery service in Granbury, Texas. Flytrex. The tower you see in the opening shot is where the flights originate. Flytrex offers food delivery and a few groceries by drone. Great experience too.

Kenwood D75 and BBlink dongle demo

This is a quick demonstration of a Kenwood D75 using the BB adapter which, along with “Radiomail” software allows a Bluetooth connection between the D75 and certain Apple iPhones and iPads. Using APRS and transmitting at 1200 baud, I connected to a winlink gateway about 7 miles away with the HT. I worked the Charlotte Amateur Radio Society's (CARSFL.ORG) 2024 Field Day station operating as WX4E from my QTH in Granbury, Texas. Great signal into the Lone Star State from Florida and FB CW ops on the other end. During one of the QSOs Tinker the cat thought it would be a good time to call CQ-too bad that the QSOs were all CW!

Ran into KD9YWG while he was activating on POTA. Patrick took his test at a CARSFL test session. My equipment is a Yaesu FTDX-10 and an end fed Zepp antenna. Great job Patrick!

AA5UN working WX4E with Jack N8EYF at the microphone. The club station was using a Tri Bander at 45 feet and I was working off the side of the beam. My station consisted of a DX 10 with 100 W going into a Chameleon vertical.

Dr. Bob Heil is so knowledgeable, and if you listen and follow what he tells you, it will vastly improve your audio quality as well as listening abilities. Bob has helped me personally, and I can never thank him enough. He talked me through the Yaesu Parametric EQ, and now I actually understand it. After all, he basically designed it! Thank you for sharing this video. I make it a priority to listen to and watch any video in which he is demonstrating his expertise in the field of sound. Especially for amateur radio. Dr. Heil is one of the nicest radio operators that I have ever had the pleasure of talking with.
Did the Ham radio software come standard on the inovato or did you add that yourself?
It comes standard on the quadra. Interesting too is that it also has "nomachine" installed. All you have to do is configure it and you can run it headless. For some reason, vnc is a little more complicated to setup on the quadra.
Very Cool...This lil sucker has so much potential with all the pre-loaded software! Have to figure out a back-up so once all the prgms are configured it can be reloaded if the need arises.
There are some other helpful vids out there including one on re-imaging if you mess it up. It has a microSD slot on it too.

Great advise, tnx. Definitely makes the video more useful when combined with "muddy" audio. Had used this feature for foreign language translations before and didn't occur to me that it would be useful for English as well. 73's

Audio is not understandable for old hams such as myself with hearing aids and diminished hearing. Needs a lapel mike to make this audible.
