Hello to all CAD, 3D, solidworks, autocad, solid edge and so on enthusiasts!
I have been meaning to make this channel many years ago, and you know, the 2nd best time is right now, so here we are!
I am a mechanical engineer working in Germany in the automotive industry, I have over 10 years of experience with 3D work and I've been working professionally as a mechanical engineer for about 5 years now.
My goal in this channel is to help others make better use of 3D programs (such as solidworks, solid edge, autodesk, autocad, inventor, ansys, and whatever else) be it for the purpose of mechanical design - which is my main focus, or product design, 3d printing, model building, studying for university or I don't know what. I am a sea of information and workarounds in Solidworks and I would love for us to work together to help more people into the world of 3D design

SOLIDWORKS MODELLING A TANK SERIES EPISODE 1
YES! the time has come and I am finally picking up this challenge I set myself many many years ago, we are going to model the Merkava 2B main battle tank, it is going to be a long series, it is going to have a lot of remodelling, lots of changes, much sweat, many tears, but eventually we will have a top down assembly type and we will model a freaking tank!!
This first part is about getting a rough sketch of the outer dimensions, later on we will detail more and more parts of the model, eventually as we go along I will also add the sub-assemblies into the model, so that in the end we will replace each "box" in the big assembly with more "boxes" and we might reach something cool! stay tuned!
if you want to support me, you're a awesome, and you can do it here: paypal.me/AvielEngi

CPU water cooling block CFD flow simulation iteration 2
Переглядів 7884 роки тому
Hello! thanks for dropping by, This video concludes the 2nd iteration of this study, we've done the geometry and then the thermal simulation, in this CFD flow simulation we are featuring a surface heat generation coupled with the forced convection done by water across thermal fins inside a CPU water cooling copper block. This is set up as a tutorial and also how to interpret results, how to dis...
SolidWorks setting up workspace, shortcuts and exporting
Переглядів 2204 роки тому
Hello thanks for dropping by! in this video I go over how to set up your workspace in solidworks, how to set up your keyboard shortcuts and how to later export them and save them so you can use them everywhere you go. I go over a few of the keyboard shortcuts I use and the rational behind them, I also go over part, drawing and assembly workspaces, how to set up the toolbars that are relevant fo...
SolidWorks Reading assembly drawings 3 examples
Переглядів 864 роки тому
Continuing my series of reading drawings I give a few examples of an assembly drawing with some aspects of what you should assign and what you shouldn't, how to make your colleagues' lives easier and I touch a bit about database and assembly and sub-assembly interactions as well as packages and
SolidWorks welding drawing examples
Переглядів 1364 роки тому
The user u/N0wayjose from reddit was kind enough to allow me to use his picture for this thumbnail, so shoutout to him! he's awesome and thanks dude! This video talks a little about reading welding drawings, I give 3 examples of different structures with a few examples of welding symbols, as well as 3 welding "methods". we go over the structure of a fillet weld, a V weld and some callouts. I ex...
Hardware for CAD usage (CPU, RAM, GPU, Mice, Monitors...)
Переглядів 4364 роки тому
I'd like to have this video up even though it isn't a CAD tutorial. A lot of us see these questions pop up, or maybe you even wondered yourself, about what computer is adequate for CAD, or as a workstation, 3d design, rendering? simulations? cfd? solidworks? solid edge? what are the differences? there's so many different components to choose from and what do you do?! I go over the different com...
Solidworks tutorial bolts and non-linear contacts
Переглядів 2,7 тис.4 роки тому
Thanks for clicking on my video! we´re talking here about how to set up a static simulation and define non-linear, bolt connections! This video includes the whole setup minus the modeling of the parts themselves, I go through all the steps and give you a bit of design perspective. This simulation yields the stresses, displacements, connector axial, shear and bending moment forces and you can al...
Iteration 2 SOLIDWORKS tutorials - CPU block thermal simulation
Переглядів 2934 роки тому
Hey everyone, it took me a while but I finally found some time to continue this thread. so we got a surface area of about 5 times the previous value we had and I'm expecting way better results from the upcoming CFD simulation of this design. I'm actually very curious to see what the flow will look like but for now we did the thermal simulation, same load, I show how to choose surfaces fast when...
SOLIDWORKS tutorial CPU water-cooling block iteration 2
Переглядів 5044 роки тому
Hey guys and gals, this tutorial contains the 2nd iteration of the watercooling cpu block. I took some lessons from the previous simulation to improve our geometry, add more surface area and allow for a better pressure delta \ difference. I'm quite happy with the Geometry, I do apologize for being slow, it was 1am when I recorded this and you should probably watch this on 1.5x speed The Thermal...
Technical Drawings and tolerances 1
Переглядів 184 роки тому
This is the first drawing in a series I wanted to put out since a long time ago, about reading and interpreting technical drawings of various parts, assemblies, welding, connecting, drilling, threading and so on. All of the things you can think of in the way of processing materials can be communicated on paper and this is the main form of communication between engineer and manufacturer. This vi...
SolidWorks - V8 engine assembly animation
Переглядів 804 роки тому
The assembly itself is a very famous and old assembly that's floating around youtube, i followed the tutorials about 5 years ago, with some changes to the faulty geometries. Sadly I didn't add fasteners but I did do a quick exploded view animation of the engine, I think it's quite cool to see! I'm not 100% happy with how it came out because some of the subassemblies are wrong and a lot of detai...

SOLIDWORKS cpu watercooling block cfd flow simulation
Переглядів 2,5 тис.4 роки тому
Hello! thanks for dropping by, this is the 3rd part of the first cpu block we designed back in August. This video shows in detail how to set up a flow simulation for internal flow with an ideal wall. This concludes our first iteration of the CPU block, I will start working on the 2nd version of this soon, because the results we got are not "doable". We don't have a pump that can withstand the p...
SOLIDWORKS tutorials - CPU block thermal simulation
Переглядів 4954 роки тому
Hey everyone, it took me a while but I finally found some time to continue this thread. I boomered the recording a bit so it might look a bit jumpy at times, because I first need to do the thermal simulation to get the temp from the conduction, this could be improved upon, but I think we have bigger fish to fry with a design change! stay tuned for the flow analysis and the conclusions for the c...
solidworks tutorial cpu water cooling block
Переглядів 1,1 тис.4 роки тому
Hey guys, sorry I boomered the sound in a few spots! but this tutorial will the first in a series of maybe 10 different kinds of geometries for a cpu water cooling block, the first one (this video) will focus around the base geometry, how to draw the 2 parts and how they interact with one another, I tried to keep it as close to reality as possible but we have to make some compromises when model...

Hi! First of all, thank you for uploading the whole process of this analysis.. Secondly, I've got a question: what are the values you used for the inlet, and the heat source ? Also, what do you use as the refrigerant ? Thanks again for this content!
Hello sir my name is Sandeep I live hi India Please sir tech me SolidWorks

Hi, can you provide more details on how to setup the real wall for the boundary conditions?
Other part ?
Question i set mine all up like yours and when its done i have to input results on left side tab to get it to show anything and it dosent just show it like when your done and mine has arrows and not soild lines for flow
Danke dir =)

Hi, Im currently doing a college project on optimizing CPU's cooling. I plan on doing a simulation similar to what you have created here however am struggling to come up with a way to fairly compare air vs liquid coolers. I also plan on showing the design optimization of the waterblock design similar to the way you done in the first video on this with the pass through vs this with pins (possibly microfins). any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sure can do! Drop me your email adress here and ill write to you, you can edit it out later to not have your email adress laying around on youtube comments
@@mechanicaldevelopment9944I'll edit the comment in a few hours. Thanks

Hi ! I am also trying to simulate an air cooled pc and I could really use some help. I cant seem to understand how to make different objects like the radiator, psu and motherboard and at the same time simulate different phenomenon. I am trying to simulate the upper cabin in this video. link- ua-cam.com/video/C3GKe7eXbPE/v-deo.html
Thanks
can you please provide link for this structure.
I will upload and post it later today
