This story illustrates one of the best facelifts a series was given, and every change made between Season-1 and season-2 was SPOT-ON. Season's 2-thru-5 made FACTS OF LIFE must-see TV for me.

As I recall, I recorded a couple takes and this was the last one and my voice was tired but Jesus Christ. Id have been better off using the other takes even if there was a mistake. The relationship of Blair and Jo made the show IMO.

If anyone has watched the show thru the last season you can tell the cast was tired of those roles. In the last season there are lots of episodes where Jo is in the scene but she doesn’t even have any lines or she says ONE thing. She looks so bored I used to feel bad for her. Maybe ending it when Mrs Garrett left would have been better. As much as I like Cloris Leachman she really didn’t add anything to the show but that wasn’t her fault

Ya know as I watch this, I see that I look pretty good and I'm reminded, the guy I wrote this about was the one that said I'm so ugly my friends laugh at me behind my back because even if a guy WAS gay, he'd never be into me. But if they did THEYRE FUCKING CRAZY IM FUCKING BEAUTIFUL! Ya know with all my victim blather, you'd never know that I transcended adversity and lived my dreams. You know I'm really mad. I'm not dramatic or extra. "Here we are, both alive like God listened to me cry" was sincere. While it's true I grew up in a world where it was expected that I'd die in a hate crime, that pretty much changed by the time I became an adult and what I'm really referring to was their drug addiction, which for 2 years, from 18-20, left me pulling my hair out, bawling, sobbing, praying every day that he'd survive. And the thing is ...people do overdose but I was young and naive. They make it sound like if someone does drugs, death is almost inescapable. It's not like that at all. Now that I'm older and more experienced.... I was fucking TORTURED, not by his addiction, but by the way society had programmed me to perceive it. It wasn't that big of a deal. Sure. You want someone to be their best self but... It's not like that. Not even close. And I SUFFERED because rather than education us, they just use fear to try to keep us away and it resulted in me suffering in ways that at 18, I should not have.

Season1 was the best it had flaws but it could of got better I remember we watched season 1 and after that we stopped in our house.

The producers had to "keep them in line" had me thinking they were running wild or something. Nope they were just micromanaging their weight. Figures. And then it got more disturbing regarding the casualness of sexing up minors.

I can understand why Lisa Welchel would refuse to physically do some things based on beliefs (like many actors won’t do nude scenes), but things offscreen that are part of the character’s arc or back story… that’s just acting. You pretend you lost your virginity just like you pretend you live at a hoarding school and you pretend your name is Blair. I’m kind of surprised that the producers didn’t push back more.

Tootie seems to refer to Mash comparison in opposite connotation. Mash had some great actors. Yet FoL was still waaaay better than Mash ever was.

I honestly love and hate being different in this world...I think I'll struggle with this until I die. I used to try to get along with others by making myself small. That doesn't work at all. I stick out wherever I go. Just got back from a family gathering feeling even worse than I did fighting the anxiety I feel in any social gathering on the way there. I know what to expect. Judgement and rejection. That's why I'm a loner.
