Interesting take. Children do need fathers. However, putting the onus of men's responsibility on women is problematic. You said "men removed" from the home vs. men leaving the home. You asked why children would think men/fathers don't matter, but you aren't asking if fathers are showing up for their children; leaving that indelible mark. You're asking women why they chose a particular man instead of asking men, regardless of their dynamic with the mother, why aren't they being responsible. Everyone blames the mother. When do we direct these questions to men who father but don't parent?
