Thanks for making these videos. May I ask - how are your Monroe's holding up? I also have a 2006 and am looking to overhaul it.
The Monroe shocks and struts have served the Odyssey well, it still rides like a new vehicle.
@@millionmilegarage9587 That's very encouraging. I'm probably going to have to overhaul mine here in a little bit. Still runs and drives fine but is obviously not new anymore :)
@@millionmilegarage9587 Awesome! I see them get trashed around on the forums. My shocks are all leaking but I don't want to spend KYB money to fix it, especially since I'm certain I'm not going to be keeping it another five years or so.
I currently got this problem on my 2008 honda crv. Not good here in the uk where it rains most of the year. Thanks for showing this fix. 👍
Is one 10 oz tube of 5200 enough? I was also consider Loctite PL S40 since it’s cheaper and readily available at local hardware store.
@@diamondruler503 I think a 10 ouncer would be enough, have no idea what Loctite PL S40 is and as always results vary!🙂
You just made my day. ‘65 C-10
Great video. Thanks!
Get some Flowmasters on that Fox ;)
What rocker ratio are you using 1.7 or 1.6?
Comp 35-324-8 (112deg) is recommended for 1.7RR. The 114 deg version of this cam for 1.6RR. I see you are using aluminum cast rockers, are they 1.7? Also, how is the driveability with the stock ECU tune?
Wasn't sure you were gonna fit!
@@TylersNeighborhoodGarage I wasn’t sure I was gonna get back out!😄
My brake shoe adjuster and lever that the red spring goes on, its being pulled down for whatever reason so its just moving the gear instead of sitting there to stop it from loosening
Hopefully the other side is still intact so you can look at the other side, that’s what I do🙂.
@millionmilegarage9587 turns out they gave me 10 inch hook wires instead of 8 and 3 quarter inch. Figured it out and fixed it, thank you for the reply though! Prior they both fell apart, both stock wires were broke in half
I’m fighting with a drain plug leaking oil on my 2013 odyssey and I’m hoping I don’t have to replace the drain pan to fix it but it’s not looking good.
@@koolzero007 If it’s stripped threads a helicoil repair might work, still might be best to remove pan to repair but you wouldn’t have to buy a new one.
@@millionmilegarage9587 I changed the oil about a week ago and put on a new oem washer and so far no leaks. The bolt didn’t feel stripped at all. I tightened the bolt with a torque wrench to 30 pounds. It looked like the last oil change I had done at take 5 reused the old metal crush washer. They told me they used rubber washers. Fingers crossed.
How much time did it take for them to ship the bumper ?🙏🏻‼️
@@octaviowest9892 Going off memory about one week, I could still smell the paint fumes off of it. They are paint to order.
@@millionmilegarage9587 perfect brother Fresh Paint 🙏🏻
Safety Tip: Screw the lug nuts back on little before half way so the rotor doesn't come flying out hitting you while pulling on it with the puller.
Funny thing I have never had a stuck rotor become a projectile after I break it loose. As always results vary!
That infamous connector is hard to remove from the sensor
Remove sensor then may need pliers to fully squeeze the release because of gunk, will hear it click, then easy out
Hey just saw your great channel!!! For this one, here is a tip for your few inches of snow on driveway, invest in a 3 foot wide Barn Scraper, with a PVC blade and long handle, save your back and actually get something done fast and clean. They are sold at Tractor Supply, or go on line at Gempler's. Best money you will ever speed, for those out of the normal snow falls down south, I live near Memphis, and use it at least once a winter. Makes quick and easy work of getting up to 6 inches off driveway the professional way!!! And then you can do your neighbors, whose high school kids are probably too lazy to do this work anymore, and make a few bucks!!!
@@ericmelton607 Thanks! I will definitely look into that, even if it only gets used once it would pay for itself. Now I don’t know what do about the roads because they don’t clear most of the county roads due to budget so we would still be very limited on traveling past the driveway in some situations. I am not complaining, most of us don’t want the roads salted, it only takes one dose and that starts the beginning of the end if you know what I mean.
About to do my 2008 odyssey tomorrow. I’ve been having this leak by my seatbelt and it’s driving me nuts so I’m going to take care of it tomorrow.
Great video I am a little disappointed we didn’t get to see you put air in it though.
@@robert66taylor That old dried out tire fought me the whole time, edited out most of it because of the cuss cloud hanging over the garage. The bead was so hard I bent the lip of the rim. It’s wall art now.
Nice job, great video of real life DIY auto mechanics. I prefer to do it myself not for the money but knowing it’s done right and I don’t have to kiss anyone’s @$# to get an appointment. Thanks !
Question. We are having a leak on both sides of the A Post at the drivers seat and passenger seat. Our van has a sunroof and I suspect that this is where our leak is occurring. Did you experience this with your van? Did yours have a sunroof? Thanks!
@@stephenhair5501 Yes it has a sunroof, no I did not experience that issue. The sunroof has a a surround with a drain in it in case the sunroof lets some water in due to being open (by design) and I would think also collect water if the seal around the glass to opening leaks. If the drain for that area gets plugged it could flood over into the vehicle causing what you described. Should be pretty easy to troubleshoot by doing a visual around those areas. As always, this is just my opinion and results vary.
So this will fit into a automatic 1992 mustang too ? I’m looking at changing my radiator
it should have been the smaller orange O-ring, not the black one
I use budgee cord in the middle i use two together hooks right on the loops and use hold down frount and back and for extra hold down in winds i also use sqeeze clamps works great
Quick question. Would the HondaBond applied to the block side not the pan side be helpful so you have zero chance of nicking a thin spot while bringing the pan up?
@@romanjohnston I guess it depends on the skill set of the installer. I actually went through that same decision tree based on same assumption, however due to oil that seems too continually run off the engine, I deemed it better to put it on the pan and make one quick swipe around the block rails to catch any oil residue before re-installing pan. Much harder to get oil drips off the sealer once it has oil on it. Just my opinion, as always, results vary.
Glad to see someone actually read the instructions. I’ve seen too many folk wonder why it doesn’t work out the box and why them filling it with butane causes it to blow up
Respect the hard work man
Rocker needs readjusting because it's ticking and no excuse for all of the smoke , that was ridiculous
Debes de recolocar correctamente la mecha despues de comprar un zippo, ya que viene de fabrica mal colocada y apretada en una esquina, de lo contrario la mecha no absorbera correctamente la gasolina
Awesome video. Very well done with a balance of time on topic and explanation of install. Would you A. stick with stock fan or B. Electric in heinz site
@@tommyexner1099 I am a fan of simplicity so sticking with a stock fan, although it has a new HD fan clutch to keep things cool with the ac on.
Great Video ( Thanks ) 🙏🏻
Just clean the back of rotor and the hub
My granny bought me the dkBlu/ltblu/Red version around '63 at Woolworths. I've got several in my collection.
@@WilliamMcDougald-pm3fq That’s so cool to have that memory. I can remember when I had my first one around 1971, I remember my grandfather talking about WWII and the fighter planes he saw as he held it and admired it.
I had to "trim" the canopy from CTT also. Not so much the canopy slides but the back of the canopy that slides along the fuselage. The replacement ones I've had are never as clear the originals. My grandmother bought me a 495 at Woolworths probably around '63. I finally have all 7 versions of the Hubley/Gabriel #495's, some in the box.
Very random question, but at 10:25, what do you call those metal clips which you have holding the new headliner to the old one? The very large paper clip things. I'm looking for some.
@@James-fv2od Ahhh, had to go back and look myself😄. I am pretty sure those are called Acco Clips, there are probably generic versions as well, it’s an office supply item. I got the idea from the GM dealership that used them to secure fender covers on my GTO when it had warranty work done on it many years ago.
@@millionmilegarage9587 Thank you, sir!! Found them.
Did that work?
Great review have this same one for my 2014 M5
You can swap MDX brake calipers and rotors on, the calipers have larger pistons and the rotor is larger in diameter if you want more braking power. you may want to swap the master cylinder from the MDX also but people have said they have good results on the stock odyssey master cylinder.
@@luckystrike240 That sounds like a great idea.👍
@@millionmilegarage9587 I'm not 100% sure the mdx parts fit in a 17" rim but I will be finding out at some point in the future.
@@luckystrike240 Keep us posted! I learned early on about forty years ago the first mod leads to the twentieth mod😄. I remember trying to bolt 1967 Chevelle SS396 wheels on my 69 Camaro and the front wheels didn’t clear the brake calipers. The Chevelle was rocking 14’s on front drum brakes.
Great video good jobs
was that the old ring that was used to do the light test...
@@hermanbotha1449 Yes
Does the new front drivers seat receptacle come with the wire harness for the seatbelt buzzer?
@@cheddarchip1013 I don’t think it did, the old ones were disconnected anyway. I think my Grandad’s 75 Chevelle would not start unless belts were buckled.
@@millionmilegarage9587 perfect, just needed to know if they did or not!
Very informative vid', thanks for sharing :) The steering works fine on mine (tested with a classical 27MHz proportional radio), but I only have it backwards running (not proportional it seems). Need to fine a compatible/OG radio :)
Certainly appreciate your effort it helped me greatly. I subscribed because of the fan jokes sick fella
Give update on how they hold up
@@Delta3111 So far after about 300 plus miles they are beaded in pretty good, noticeably more bite than previous brakes, only more miles and time to see if they hold up and don’t warp out.
Hey LOVE the detailed video!!! If you need anything else please let us know. We would love to collaborate with you! 😉
1:07:47 And there's the money shot right there! I took the clips out of mine to blast & paint them and I can't find pics of this part on the interwebs ANYWHERE 😕 Now I know how they're oriented in the molding-thanks. (and that notch is for the vent window)

Original Zippo, fake fuel oil
@@abccba100 Nope! On the back of every Ronsonol Bottle it says owned by Zippo.
Lol fake fuel.
I got my first zippo it has a tree pattern and gold color it's pretty cool. Use my Bic still mostly tho cause I don't fill it lol
Bought one and got it yesterday and it worked like a charm tho it might not be the same brand as yours. Don't know why but used to if I vacuumed someone's AC system and replaced a schrader there was never an issue with a new schrader leaking but now it seems like it's 50/50. Started using a little thread sealant and seemed to work but do you know if there is a certain manufacturer of schrader valves that are higher quality and less likely to leak?
@@handyman2233 That’s a really good question, that is a very popular item and I would think 99% of those are made overseas so quality is going to be hit or miss. I just used my last Schrader from a ten year old stash so I am on the hunt as well. Amazon has several sellers, I will probably pick the one with the best ratings and reasonable price. They seem to be pretty cheap if you buy the assortments. FYI: this was a common problem going on forty years ago too, those little bastards will leak if you look at them the wrong way.
Awesome! 👍 Thank you
Do they help with Sun damage to leather seats and did it cool the interior?
@@solinspired4428 Hi, it definitely cuts down on sun damage (ultraviolet) and heat soaking due to preventing the windows from sun loading the interior.
I saw this video the other day and just ordered one and will be here today. Im tired of fixing peoples AC and having to redoe everything just because a leaky shrader valve. Do you ever use a thread sealant on a new schrader valve?
@@handyman2233 I have never used thread sealant, the band or o-ring around the valve core body does the sealing.
