MEORC is a council of government in the Developmental Disabilities field. We have 19 member counties and provide service and supports to county boards, providers, individuals, and other organizations throughout Ohio.

Academy for Leadership Abilities (ALA) and Student Empowerment in Carroll County
The Carroll County Board of DD facilitates leadership classes called Student Empowerment using the Academy for Leadership Abilities curriculum. These sessions teach students how to think, not what to think. It teaches them leadership skills and integrity. They learn to interact with peers that are different than them and develop friendships with students from other schools and communities.

I have worked with the MEORC business office staff over several and always found them to be helpful and able to convey their ideas and concepts that are reasonable and workable in out organization...not just what they had to offer. Listened and tailored their support. Always enjoyed working with them.

I see another hidden talent of MEORC staff. I would say they are good actors, but I think this was a real situation. I would say they are very patient with each other, except for Steve. He seems to get a bit stressed when driving. :) Great advertising!
