It must be distinguished in these videos the difference between defensive shooting and target shooting. Morons will take their isosceles triangle into defensive shooting incidents, and all get their throats cut. Close quarter defensive is 3' to 7' from the x-ray. 98.9% of all shooting stats are from this distance (FBI data, not mine). You can take your isosceles triangle to the target range and fantasize about being on Gunsmoke or at the OK Coral. Of course, with the perp standing 36" away with a knife in his hand as he demands your wallet, you can always tell him to "Wait." I haven't set up my isosceles stance yet!
Thank you for stopping by to watch the video and comment. Have a blessed day
Milk that grip.
Carry spare batteries too.
@@Project_1868 100%! Great call. Forgot to mention that but I have 3 extra 2032’s in my patrol car! Great stuff!
Quick question..what dot size did you choose for the SRO? 1, 2.5 or 5moa? Any particular reason why? Thanks in advance. Appreciate it.
Hi. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! I think my favorite is a 1 MOA turned up to a higher (or some days it's highest) brightness setting. 2.5 is also fine as long as it's not blooming. I'm not particularly a fan of the 5. The brighter and bigger the dot, the more my eyes want to stare at the dot... At least that's how it is for me. I simply want to be aware it exists and keep my focus on the target. Thanks again for stopping by and commenting.
Another reason to not run a dot!
Hi. Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!
Hi. Thanks for commenting. Yup, like I mentioned, I start off with cold drills (such as the one you mentioned) on a semi-regular basis. Then do a 5 round group just to confirm I'm good to go before getting into the bulk of my training for the day. Thanks again for stopping by. Happy Holidays to you!
Agree to disagree. I start out with a cold performance on demand drill like 20 Alpha. If I called my shots good and missed, then i see if my dot is not zeroed. So far after two years of shooting with a dot, I haven’t lost my zero. I see your perspective however. Group shooting is important and builds confidence.
I’ve watched so many of these videos from different people. This is by far the best. Thank you
So glad it was helpful to you! Thank you so much for watching the video and your wonderful comment. Are you close to Pennsylvania?? Come train with us sometime??
@@HoldTheLinePatriotsAssociation I’m in Idaho but my cousin is living in Pennsylvania now. I think it’s near Harrisburg. Are you anywhere near there? I’m going to be visiting in the spring of next year. Would love to get some training.
Billy, we're 35 minutes from Harrisburg. Lmk when you're going to be in the area. We'll have you out to the range to train with us.
Do allow conceal AIWB in classes?
Hello. Thanks for writing us! We do! I use one on a regular basis myself.
@HoldTheLineDefenseSolutions OK just making sure. I looked over most of the videos and I didn't see any IWB. Thanks for getting back!
@@cnclife2739 where are you located? Would you like to join us for a class? We'd love to have you.
@HoldTheLineDefenseSolutions I'm in Colorado. But get out to PA monthly. Been to lots of classes, I aways pick something up still. I'll check my schedule and your website and get it set up.
@@cnclife2739 awesome. Hit me up next time you're coming to town. We can go to our range you and I.
Great video. Will try soon

Wrong targets. Wrong gear. Check the rule book for proper equipment.
Thank you. Someone sent me a copy of it today! Thanks!!!
Wrong targets and it's called a "classifier." Looks like your shooting is solid though.
Thank you! Copy on the classifier name! Correct targets have been ordered as of this morning! 😊
Shooting a $6400 atlas apollo doesn’t hurt, I have one and it has noticeable play slide to frame, what’s yours like, can you feel any play.
Mine is great. Probably my favorite Atlas of the 4 I've bought.
Great video, one of the better ones on UA-cam. In terms of proper grip on the how but also and why / why not

Look at 18:43 and on for a little - you describe a skill I would love for you to teach me. I want to be able to shoot very tight groups slow but consistently. Please help me.
My schedule doesn't have me back out at the range for a little bit. But the next time I'm there, I'll do my best to record this for you Mark
I one of your older videos you said you would do a video on proper trigger pull and how to curl from the joint. Have you posted that video yet? How soon can you get it uploaded, I'm trying to improve.
Hi Mark. Not sure if ever created the exact content you're looking for or not... That said, how exactly can I help you? What are you struggling with?
@@HoldTheLinePatriotsAssociation I want your opinion on the best way to pull the trigger finger without getting any movement from the bottom 3 fingers / other hand. The other video said you would isolate how to do it. I’ll try to find the time stamp on the other video. Been waiting for a while for it to be honest. Think it needs to be in depth and go above other content out here.

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment! Here's a link to the full video which will answer your question... ua-cam.com/video/hIIzGq81fOs/v-deo.htmlsi=HhwX4DaI1Eoqe_38 Basically, step one is having your hand in the correct position and then REMOVING tension from your shooting hand and forearm. Pretty good rules there, should reduce any mishap really. Always a shame hearing a story from someone violating these basic gun safety rules that result in injury
Thank you for watching the video and taking the time to comment. Greatly appreciate it. Yes, as a fail safe, the rules are designed where you have to simultaneously break more than one before really bad things can happen. Unfortunately, people out there in the world break more than one quite regularly. Again, thanks for checking us out. I'm looking to grow a community of good people. I appreciate you. Blessings!
My fingers dont work like that
Hi. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. When you put a lot of tension in your hand, your other fingers don't move sympathetically when you move your trigger finger?
@HoldTheLineDefenseSolutions no my fingers are just different, almost everyone I shoot with has that issue bad

3yds away from target?
@paulreid7129 hello! Hope this finds you well. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment. It's somewhere between 3-5 yards. I didn't really mark it off. How can I best serve y'all??
YIKES!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Yikes?? Blessings to you.
Why are you changing everything?
Hi Bruce. Not sure what you mean... Just tried to shoot the course as it is, but without shooting the stages multiple times to save time and ammo. As far as the double/half, I have a constable/law enforcement class coming up... Just wanted to show those with anxiety about the qualifications that it's capable of being done in twice the distance and in half the time... and that being the case, they shouldn't worry... Cause our class will help them to be able to achieve the qualification standards, no problem. Blessings!
Having been to one of HTL’s seminars, I can say with complete confidence that this training is exactly what EVERYONE needs! Loren is an excellent speaker and teacher. The information and skills he leaves participants with is not only valuable, but necessary! If you can, get you and your loved ones to one of these sessions!
