MiniTaur Jam #3 (Dec 23 2024)
The SQ1 is connected to the Minitaur via the Gate and the Filter inputs. I also have a x-Session for midi control that I use to select the LFO wav as well. This setup makes the Minitaur lots of fun to play. The Beatstep is only being used for midi sync. I also make use of the pedal (off camera) to latch the gate

Slim Phatty Jam (Dec 8 2024)

20mins of just Slim Phatty. No FX. No sequencer. The arp on the LaunchkeyMiniMK3 is used a couple times, but it's mostly me playing and making full use of LFO and Filter modulation. The pedal next to the SP is a latching type footswitch I have connected to the KB Gate input on the SP. When engaged it puts the SP into "drone mode". The LFO Sync is set to internal. In case you want to skip: 4:01 ...

Sunday afternoon jam using my fav sequencer, the Beatstep Pro. (skip ahead about 6mins or so in the video if you wanna miss the boring bits at the beginning) To be fair... I'm using the Beatstep in the most basic of ways. I have it setup to sequence my Blofeld, Slim Phatty and MiniTaur and to make sure everything else stays in sync. And it does a superb job of it too. And I'm only using USB in/...

Whoa... what's going on here? Well... that iPad is running an IOS app called Soundprism. I am playing the Blofeld and the Minitaur with it. The Beatstep is sequencing the Slim Phatty and MS20 and the "kick" sound you hear helping me keep time is coming from the Bass Station.

More dawless sequencing fun with my synths. The BeatStepPro sequences the MiniTaur, Slim Phatty and Bass Station. A LaunchkeyMiniMk3 is used to arpeggiate the Blofeld and I play the MS-20mini. Patterning2 is used for drums and I mute/unmute them using a LaunchkeyMiniMk1. Hope you like it. Cheers!

thank you
Nice Berlin school sound!
Yeahhh
This is such a rad little studio!
AKA... how to keep a retired guy busy.... ;-)
Cool
Very nice basis of a very cool electronic track. Love the bass and mid range synth progression. Well done.
Well done! As I expect from (((Stereofect))), maker of the brilliant album "The New Frontier" and a whole bunch of other awesome stuff
Nice soft and dreamy light house music. I like it.... just found you. Will definitely listen to more
Very good! I like it!!!!!
possible to talk?
About?
wow...

Sounds like music for the show " how its made" "in this video we show you how play dough" is made
YES! now this is a true demonstration of the true potential of circuit bent instruments. there are so many videos of people just fucking around on their builds-- i'm happy to see someone follow through with the spirit of the craft and use it as a subversive musical tool. this sounds beautiful
Hi, I just got a BSP and am scratching my head trying to get it to sync up with my Zaquencer in either direction - would you mind telling me what arrangement and settings you used on each to get them working? (if you can remember from three years ago that is!)
Ah I figured it out, sending midi from the Zaq to the BSP through the midi in port works (I was trying to use the clock in, unsuccessfully)
Glad you figured it out. To answer your question though, I use a iconnectMIDI4+ router. BSP is connected to the router via USB and the BCR2000 is connected to the router via MIDI. i use a footswitch to start Zaquencer and then Zaquencer sends MIDI sync/start to the BSP.
Such awesome tones & textures !
very cool love it
Cheers
Thanks for stoppin' by. Cheers to you too!!
Only blofeld? No external fx?
Very nice!
Nice!
Thank you! :-)
Very nice!
Thank you! :-)
Holy shit dude!!! That sounds like something that ought to be in a sci-fi movie! (I also love the fascist killing synth)
A wonderful way to start my day. Thanks, man!
Thanks. I hope your day got better and better as it progressed. Cheers!
Cool sound! "This synth kills fascists". I love this words!
Wow some trip! I have a couple of Casio SK-1s that apparently lend themselves well to circuit-bending . . . maybe someday lol
If you ever reach a point where you can no longer handle the burden of looking after two SK1's I'll happily adopt one of them and give it a new forever home. ;-)
I will keep that in mind :)
Cooooool, man. Hey, I have one of those loop stations . . . 2 pedal job, I recently hooked up a microphone to it and . . . mannn, you can have some vocal fun with that thing
Token Wonder Music loopers are great fun. I can see you doing something like the looped bit that immediately follows "A Day in the Life".
very good track and nice setup. my plan with the Zaq is to use my E-MU gear and a Mother 32. hope it works out ok.
hey, nice vid!
Sweet! Audio output gets converted?
Absolutely. In this case audio going into the Field Kit is used to manipulate the CV radio and that audio then gets sent to the Sonuus G2M for conversion to midi.
Got it. Very cool!
Cool, man!
Great job, Thanks for the inspiration.
I have never been an inspiration to anybody so.... thank you. May you live long an prosper! :-)
Really like the sonic soundscape you painted here. Great job. I also still have an Alesis Wedge. Love it's layout. Subscribed.
Who dosed Santa with ayahuasca? lol Love it
Token Wonder Music it's worse than you think. I'm stone cold sober when I make this stuff. 🙀
Sounds like a pretty scary Christmas in the 2nd half :P Great atmosphere though, love it!
My darkest dreams come true @ Xmas. Thanks for listening. :-)
Cool
Nice ambient!!
Thank you. :-)
Very nice Space !!
Spooky Scifi movie music! Great sounds and depth :)
Yence505 spooky, spacey scifi sounds. Deep, dark and dense. Just the way I like 'em. Thanks! 😊
Like !!!
Thank you very much!
We start things rolling with a spacey loop on the Kaossilator and then mix everything together from there. :-)
Really nice ambient with a scary atmosphere, good work!
Thank you very much! :-)
Cool video and very, very nice music!
Yence505 thank you very much. 😊
If you get some "greenscreen" software for your videos you could make your walls disapear, lets say in a "space" theme to your music :P Anyways, love the chill ambient tone man! :)
As bizarre as it sounds I actually never thought of doing that. That's a great suggestion. Thank you. :-)
Love your stuff, man. But couldn't you lay some candy wrappers or pizza boxes around? You're studio is do dern tidy I want to at least drop a half-dozen patch cables and stuff all over the place lol
Lol.
Mmmm . . . yummy as always. Thanks for sharing your fine tracks with your loyal fans!
Separate audio recording or was this purely done with the mics of the camera?
Audio and video were recorded separately. Audio was recorded on an iPod 1st gen seated in a Alesis ProTrack.
