Wow, i'm glad someone finally made a documentary about this! Living nearby, I went over to the exhumations almost daily. After the archeologist finished and the heavy equipment moved in, I could still find human bones on the ground before most of the soil was hauled away. The fact no monument was forthcoming does not surprise me in a city like Pekin. I remember many a story from adults who attended the first Douglas School about finding bones and holes in the ground that indicated a burial. Having met Pekin historian Fred Soady, he told me the crew hired to originally move bodies from the old Tharp cemetery were a bunch of known drunks who claimed to exhume more bodies than they actually had. I have no idea if that was true.

Once a good station, by 1999 it devolved into just another "phone-it-in" station.
