TRANSITION TO OPEN GUARD
Переглядів 3297 років тому
Clean, technical transitions are the hallmark of high level jiu jitsu. They are the invisible link that allows technique to triumph over physicality. Without a proper understanding of this phase of jiu jitsu, transitions become scrambles, and scrambles always go to the stronger, faster, more athletic individual. Transitions are what guide us from position to attack. Check it out, and check out ...

@@bluelifter5917 hold back of head and leading wrist and pull into you while pulling hand across body. swim your hand under opponent's arm and hold back of shoulder. other arm can go around back of head to hold onto your own hand for more support. his arm's pinned, work to get your leg over that pinned shoulder through heel on hip, running man, w/e. works w no gi, just gotta finesse it

Drop your ego professor. if that guy's purple belt is ratty, he gives you all you can handle and he's just now getting his first stripe, you've got some self-reflection to do. Are you holding people back just because you're worried about what other people think about your colored belt students? "Oh, Alpha's purple belts are fucking savages", "yeah because they've been purple belts for 12 years". Get over yourself, douchebag.
