oh shard bomb, how you've fallen... back in the good old days, Radiant Sun Shards *defined* bombs as a weapon class. It was a weapon line that ended at 4 stars, and yet was easily the equal to any 5-star weapon. The way it used to work was that the bomb would fire 8 projectiles in the cardinal and diagonal directions. In the case of the Radiant Sun shards specifically, it did an equal mix of elemental and piercing damage, meaning that at least half of its damage was hitting a vulnerability against any enemy. Additional uses were being able to hit enemies across gaps or from range, being able to hit switches, and being able to oneshot trojans if you placed the bomb directly behind them - half or more of the shards would hit the trojan directly and oneshot it. The last of those was why they changed it in mid-2012, and I quit the game for good shortly afterwards. It just wasn't fun to play full-bomber without my favourite primary weapon. I would honestly probably come back to the game if they reverted the change, but we all know that isn't going to happen.

a better explanation that I thought of while editing is: When tricked, PK will drop 7 tokens on defeat. He will also drop 3-5 tokens when hitting him during the fight (this seems to be random between 3 to 5)

why was phantamos ranked over umbra? utility aside, i think alchemers in general outshine their blaster alternatives in nearly every way. The only place where alchemers *probably* dont make sense is RT where you need the range to hit buttons and not accidentally messing up switches with richochets

As a Nova Driver enthusiast who had to defend it for years, I feel validated. Not sure if they still kept the feature where you can shoot the charge attack inside turrets to one shot them, but it was my go to defense. If it does work, nobody I know of has ever mentioned it outside of the friends I showed, but it made soloing Vanaduke significantly easier because it also worked on him. (Aiming at turret that’s facing your direction, aim slightly to the right of their head, and the charge attack clips inside to do enough damage without gun equipment to one shot. Had some inconsistent success against Trojans and a few others, but it was 100% consistent against turrets.)

As someone that comes back to SK now and then while also having absolutely no idea what the meta was for most of my time playing, seeing what is factually good vs bad for handguns really opens my eyes while making me despair at my previous weapon choices.

Id love a general weapons tier list (with all the types) after youre done with the sword one. I think it would be crazy lol

I did not expect DR at 2 at all. It seemed like the extra change that came with rocket hammer to me. If you only use bombs I guess DR should be that high but I’d say that vortex and ash of Agni are more versatile

1 - I think that salt just amplifies the current taste of a food product (for more info, see salt in pastry, and salted caramel) 2 - putting Irontech Destroyer above bab is really unexpected, but I appreciate it because I love both weapons equally. 3 - I don't think Irontech Destroyer needs elemental damage, just some speed readjustments (faster detonation timer but not Nitro-fast, faster walking but not Nitro-fast) 4 - Voltaic Tempest is indeed insanely good for elemental damage, especially against piled up Slag Walkers at Firestorm Citadel. Over all great video, most placements are pretty reasonable, and listening to you talk about less used weapons like VT and ITD really makes me feel heard and recognised.

Dark City, the theming of Devilittes, Yesmen, and the Pit Bosses, and how they promote the other units, and throw office chairs, is just one of my most loved things. That'll live rent free in my head (as well as most of Spiral Knights in general) but specifically. I'd play a mini game set in that part of the Clockworks where you play as a low rank Devilitte working its way up the corporate ladder.

I'm one of those that saw Dark Retribution's damage at first, decided it was pathetic and abandoned it, decided to start using it when I came back to the game and finding out the absurd damage it can dish out when using more than 2 brain cells.
