While out out in both Tri Cities, and Seattle Washington for the Columbia Cup & Seafair. Our left sponson took a few damaging impacts by the U-37 Beacon Plumbing. With some amazing help from the U-11 Peters & May team, and access to the Budweiser shop in Seattle. The team was able to get the boat fixed and ready for the 2014 Bayfair race in San Diego, California! Here's a recap of those repairs!

The Oberto / Miss Madison Hydroplane took great team work to hold onto the national high points lead. Jimmy Shane placed 4th in the winner take all final at Bayfair after the 6 was penalized for bearing out on the 1.

The Oberto / Miss Madison Crew put in long hours in the unusually hot and humid San Diego weather to pull out a win and remain in the national high points lead.

Oberto / Miss Madison takes on Bayfair with a 920 point lead in the national high points race. With a qualifying lap of 162.557 MPH, Jimmy Shane starts the weekend as the top qualifier.
2014 Seafair: Saturday & Sunday

After an incident in Heat 1B with U37, the Oberto Team took wins in Heat 2B and 3B. In the final the U6 caught the rooster tail and snapped the canard, resulting in a 3rd place finish. The day ended with Jimmy Shane and the Oberto/ Miss Madison team winning the Fox Plumbing & Heating Jackpot!

So sad to see Oberto to leave the sport, I only eat Oberto:( But on a better note if they do leave, maybe another big company will step up and and sponsor a boat, like GoPro.

Great Driving for Jimmy Shane...Cannot say the same for Villwock. Thank you Miss Madison and Oh!Boy Oberto for an awesome weekend of racing, see you again in the Tri Cities next year.... Congrats on the win once again a class act from the whole team and Jimmy was an Awesome choice to replace Steven David.. I think Jimmy could be the next Chip Hanauer, he has the skills and the class to pull this off.
