Why Stellar Blade Is Amazing, But Not Perfect
If you agree or disagree with anything I say, let me know why! I wanted to talk about Stellar Blade, I feel like it wasn't as big as I thought it would be. It was a great game with only a few flaws.

I'm diving into Kingdom Hearts 3 again. If you were like me, then this game was a big disappointment upon release, and I haven't touched it since. I wanted to go back into it to see if I was being dramatic, or if it was genuinely bad. If you agree or disagree, let me know! Kingdom Hearts is a family friendly game, but that doesn't stop Square Enix from implementing really sad moments. Is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Overhated Or Actually Bad?
nah this game was aight but the ending was lame
es it is. all u had to do is those specials, i wish that wasnt in the game or very limited
For the next game, they need to reference KH1 for level design & story telling, KH3 for world size (every world should receive the same treatment, not just Disney), and combination of KH2FM & KH3 for combat (I prefer Keyblade transformations to drive forms in concept, but latter was FAR better executed).
This game has some of the most bizarre writing problems I have ever seen, in that 90% of it is essentially goofing off and wasting time in the Land of Licensed Media, and the other 10% is so rushed and businesslike in its movement from plot point to plot point that it forgets to be any fun at all. You generally want a story to have both of these to some degree, but the balance and distribution is just wildly off. It's like a burrito where the first ten bites are pure cheese and all the beef is stuck at the tail end. All the emotional moments depend entirely on having played other games, because no one here acts like friends. They don't have time! They're too busy explaining weird metaphysical plot points and losing fights so Sora can come save them. It's just sad that in a game series that sold me on the power of friendship, nobody really feels like friends by the end. It feels like they are acting more out of a sense of duty and obligation than anything.
Im sorry to say but yes, it really was that bad.
Yea I wasn’t a fan. I’ll play it again and see, but I remember at the time it felt like the game didn’t kick into 2nd or 3rd gear. It kept stalling out and felt kike the beginning of a game all the way through, it was easy as hell, and I think the hype was way up. Plus I was older and I didn’t have the nostalgia for the worlds like I did in the worlds in 1 and 2 other than Toy Story , which was also a let down.
Yes it was.
I was so disappointed that most worlds were only replays of the movies. It was so foreseeable what's gonna happen if you've seen the movie and felt like wasted time. Anything else related to Sora and the others was great, just the Disney parts were total crap
57 minutes bro?? Cmon lol.
Unpopular opinion, the story in the KH series was never good, so I don't see how 3 could ruin something that's already bad. I play KH for the gameplay, and I find KH3 to have a lot of solid gameplay. Most of the worlds are fun to explore and very well crafted, the pro codes and critical mode are genuinely great additions that help provide a variety of options for combat and addresses concerns the combat originally had, there are so many surprises and things to find and discover throughout the entire game. KH3 is truly a celebration of video games both past and present.
I don't know i never played it but I got it for $10 a couple days after it released 😭 "we waited x amount of time for THIS???"
The only kingdom hearts game I didn’t really want to keep playing but finished it. It’s not that the game was horrible it just felt off imo. I could go back and play 2 with 0 issues and have a blast and same with the first with its clunky camera. With 3 I just forced myself to finish it to finish it. I personally didn’t have fun with 3. I’ve played the handheld games also besides dream drop distance
i fucking love kingdom hearts man
I put kh3 on when I can't sleep. Works every time
The problem with KH3 is that they added things into the game whilst ending the darkness saga. Gameplay was great, the aesthetic regressed, and there are *WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE* in the game. The nobody's other than Xheanort all should have had their story lines summed up before the final act. Aqua, Terra, and Ventus were robbed of the story they should have shared with Riku, Kairi, and sora. Roxas should have returned to Ventus. Vanitas should have returned to Sora. Xion should have split up and gone to both Kairi and Sora. Namine should have returned to Kairi. Terra suit of armor should have been able to rend Xheanort from him with the help of Master Aqua. Aqua became a dark Master and Riku saving her makes sense. But that would have been peak to see her save him. I could go on, but its all just stuff that I would've wanted to happen. The game we were given aeems like it was just a sum of all the games and a lore dump at the end to push the storyline to the side. Pissed me off because I was so invested in the lore and it felt like they wanted to just be done with it.
This is a great video, but I’ll talk about that more later.
LMAO
I fucking hated the game. I haven't played the spin offs. Only watched content to get up to date with the story. KH3 is worse than ever in terms of pulling out an explanation for xyz, out of its own ass. Its like the entire story stuff just happens for ... reasons.. It had me completely turned off... I also heavily disliked the art style, it wasn't all bad, especially in the Pixar worlds as the style already existed in 3d space, but god, hercules looked horrendous. I came directly from KH2 on critical mode, when the game finally released on PC. But setting the game on critical in KH3 in the first level, over and over resulted in me taking hits fired from outside of the screen, to almost one shot me. It was infuriating to say the least. So I turned down the difficulty from critical mode, and even with rides disabled (which is just honestly think is probably the most stupid addition they could have made, that makes no sense in lore, and seemingly only functions as an advertisement for Disneyland or something....) the game got so insanely headscratchingly easy. Much level design was also just bad pure and simple, with running sections being extended way too far, due to the size of the maps. Toybox (I think that is the Toy Story world name?) is notably bad in this regard. I also did not really enjoy the form changing key blades. But that is only due to my subjective preferences, there is not anything objectively wrong with it per se, it just adds to a long list of things that I got soured about.... The game is just littered with baffling design decisions... For me its a solid 3/10 I won't bother touching the series again after this...
I’m a jrpg gameplay fan. There was no reason to grind or get better. It kind of held your hand through the game and leveled you up when it was appropriate. It felt like a movie with gameplay elements and I couldn’t care less about the story. Also didn’t finish the game cuz it was so disappointing so gain of salt and all that
The game was incredibly bad, every disney world felt like filler that served no purpose except to fluff the games play time. I dont think the fault lays with square though, Disney has been very heavy handed with their IP's over the last 10 years, I wouldnt be surprised if square was forced to alter a lot of their vision to Disneys demands.
Playing it when it released I also felt the same way that I couldn’t replay it and I felt like it wasn’t what I expected. Having the fact that this felt rushed and I believe FF7 remake was on a similar dead line and because of that this seems like it took a back seat.
It was fine. They tried to do way too much, but overall it's a solid game.
Your critisism is honestly fair. For me despite these points was a once in a lifetime experience. And Unchained x & Dark Road gave us so much awesome story material...So they are more then capable doing awesome stuff - just probably they had insane Disney intervention.....but the games were successful thankfully. So hopefully KH4 will be a banger.
The game was a solid 4/10 for me. Excludinf the ending, the game has several glaring issues. 1. Attractions, commands, and a whole other bunch of mechanics are just shoved down your troat. Theres no skill, no technical gameplay aspect. You just smash X until the game tells you to press triangle, in which case you nuke the entire screen. 2. In KH1, KH2 and heck even BBS, you had multiple stages per world. In KH3 its just 1 big stage most of the time. Theres barely any exploration, or puzzles, because the game is ao focoused going forward. San Frantokyo might look big, until you realize is simply 1 big empty box. 3. The worlds compose absolutely nothing to the plot of the game. 4. Arandale. Jesus Christ were do I even start. You get here, and Sora does absolutely jack shit, other than climb up and down the mountain like 4 times. 5. Not enough time with supporting cast. Seriously Kairi being useless all the way 2 the very ending was just terrible. 6. Xheanort having the, oh im a tragic hero stick, feels like such a blantant cop-out. I get this is a disney game, but come on.
Yes.
I would think the reason their reunion wasn’t so sentimental is because they both knew the player character still had a game to finish and right then and there wasn’t the time. Gotta save that shit for KH3.5
Shout out to the real ones who are gonna buy final mix before KH4.
So if Yozora is Noctis from the FF13 Versus trailer... are they in Insomnia? :') Or is there no relation to FF15, just reused assets?
Yes.
It got better when the hardest difficulty come to the game
This is a good take. I had fun, it was neat. But we waited 10 years for something that wasn't nearly as PROFOUND as KH2 was for me. Also I much preferred the combat from KH2 (I hated the rides so much and the Heartless horde battle drug out 45 minutes longer bc I refused to use it and then found out it was REQUIRED)
alls im gonna say is, kh 1, 2, chain, and yes, even bbs and 365 days, were complete experiences that stood on their own, and Dream drop and 3 do not in the slightest, and actively harm everything that came before it.
KH3 was a dissapointment. - I didnt like the open-ish worlds idea. I enjoyed the more smaller sections that KH & KH2 had. - Graphics just jumped to much in each world and did not fit the game itself. - Voice acting felt really bad. Either to much over-acting or none at all. Characters acted not like their character should and spoke in ways that that character would not speak ever. - Costume designs were atroshes. Plaid? KH designs were iconic. KH2 was so badass, and KH3 was just a joke. I couldnt take anyone serious. They did my guy Riku so wrong. He looked so dam cool in KH and KH2. KH3 his design and character itself was laughable. Sorry Riku 😢 - There were worlds that would've been better to add than some worlds like Frozen 🤮, & Rapunzel 🤮.. And a missed opportunity to add things to other worlds that the previous games had (the coliseum for ex..) - The opening scene / Intro movie.. I died inside. Why?? Song didnt even fit the movie. Song was disgustingly horrible. Skrillex? Really?.. Its like they gave up and threw away everything that made Kingdom Hearts great and added all these new things that just ruin the game rather than improve upon it. - KH felt very Final Fantasy-ish and I loved that. kH2 still brought that feel while discovering its identity as a game which was spot on. KH2 was it! KH3 🤮, again, they threw away what made KH great and added new things that ruined the game rather than improved it. - Story wise, felt pointless. Sora needs to get stronger indorder to be ready for whats coming. But he still ends up 20x weaker than he was in KH2? There was no motivation for him to get stronger. Even playing, you forget thats the goal up until the end, and he manages to beat o.p. villains while running around worlds like frozen, singing and dancing to somehow gain power to defeat the o.p. villains at the end. - Some of these new mechanics made the gameplay and fighting worse. The simpler the better. KH and KH2 had simple mechanics throughout each world and fighting was fighting using A keyblade.. Now they have wall running (which i did not like), and certain traversal aspects which took away from challenging the player to reach certain places. The fighting mechanics / keyblade forms was so stupid. Some yes are cool, and make it easier to fight enemies. But i enjoy the challenge more. It was better as it was: This is a keyblade, you swing it, hit enemies, find a strategy using your magic, plane and simple. The new fighting mechanics actually took me out of enjoying a fight. To much to focus on. And yes it doesnt force you to use it, but if there was a setting to completely turn it off and fight old school, that wouldve been 1000x better. Rating: KH = 9/10 KH2 = 10/10 KH3 = 2 /10 (thats being generous)
It was bad when they didn’t add any final fantasy characters in game and huge disappointment again when sephiroth wasn’t the secret boss again
Base game was a let down. The DLC saved it
Yes it was and kh 1 & 2 was far better. Most of the games were good tbh. Except 3 I hope Kh 4 will go in a better direction
There's so much more things out there that are a lot worse than kh3.
I really didn't like most of the disney worlds. The smaller worlds force you to go through every single part of it while the two very large worlds only use small parts for the story. But i'll talk about that later. The only good one for me in every way was the Monsters Inc world, but I'll talk about that later. Because most of the game felt like filler, I really didn't care for the final world especially with cramming everything into it, but I'll talk ab
Since when is kh3 bad ???
4:24 is that Halle Berry? 😂
yes yes it was
7:30 frozen world is where I stop in KH3. I need eo give the game another chance
I wish this game was better. It really feels like kingdom hearts fell off because of this game. My entire friend group moved on completely after this game. I miss the days of KH2. The hype was insane. The story and mystery was crazy in a good way. KH3 just kinda resolved too many things in unsatisfying ways. Especially Xehanort
It was mostly just dissapointing to me. It still is. Yeah yeah the stories aren't great but 1 and 2 had heart yknow? I loved those characters and was hoping after all the side story smuck, I had hoped we would get at least what 2 gave us and it just didn't
Idk im the small minority that enjoyed the game from beginning to end. This game was pretty much the Endgame to the Xehanort Saga.
The thing that really disappointed me most about this game on release (and I didn't play the non-numbered games, so cant comment on how much of a trend this had become over time) was the complete and utter lack of Final Fantasy characters, or Square Enix characters in general within the main story. One of the main appeals of the KH games dating back to the first was that it was legit the only games where you could experience SE and Disney characters genuinely interacting. The dynamics, the chemistry, the unlikely camaraderie that came from putting these characters in a room together. The heartwarming and sometimes hilarious moments that sprang from it. Cloud fucking Strife talking with 100% sincerity to Donald fucking Duck. No other game can replicate that kind of thing. So when I made it about 60% of the way through KH3 and it had dawned on me that we hadn't met a single FF character along the way, I definitely felt embittered toward the game for just dropping half of what gave KH its original flair. Forever felt afterward like Disney had bought out SE from their own IPs to make more room for their own, and, as we'd later see, shoved them in a DLC sized locker. I certainly felt the usual gripes about the story feeling like an inconclusive finale to a long awaited trilogy and the gameplay being piss easy. Attractions lose most of the fun factor after the like third or fifth time you use one, but are so dumb for doing so much damage AND making you invincible AND being handed to you constantly, that you feel like a moron for NOT wanting to make use of them. But I think the entire lack of other SE IPs in a game series thats primary selling point from the begging was "FF meets Disney" is just such a disappointment. They were never, like, IMPORTANT. They were never there for like the conclusion of the game's story, they never had to be. But they were an important part of the series' texture, its flavor, its SAUCE, that when you take a bite and its missing, you cant help but notice the recipe aint right anymore.
into didn't have to go that hard
Why does Yozora look like Noctis from FF15, with lighter hair and two different colored eyes? Is it because the scene of him riding in the back of that car is almost exactly the same as the cutscene from the Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer of Noctis riding in the back of a car? I love Kingdom Hearts, but honestly at this point it's mostly just because I have fun playing them, I gave up on trying to understand what the hell is going on in the story. Thank God other people have devoted time to putting out videos that explain it.
who tf was saying this game is bad?
In terms of plot and pacing, yeah, it’s bad. Wrapping up everyone’s story arc at the end is just sloppy and feels less impactful. Also, can someone explain to me why Ephemer just shows up out of nowhere tohelp sora, and specifically him and not someone who has a closer connection like say VENTUS?!?
This game was like: Marketing Marketing the fast part of rap god Credits
Yes its that bad
