Bonnlo Kayak Beach Cart Review & Assembly!
After buying my new Old Town kayak, I needed to get a kayak cart that had beach wheels. Beach wheels make moving a kayak around much easier especially in sand, dirt, mud, etc. I found Bonnlo on Amazon and couldn't believe it was only $99.99. The video is my initial review and assembly of the cart.

What type of rig did you use and what type of bait … and were you trolling ??? Thanks
I'm going to try this for stripers. Cheers
What if I only have mullets and shrimp?
Rookie mistake, dont reel while drag is working, from an old experienced guy.
Bass can not smell oil based sents it doesn’t mix with the water if you use water whatever you want it to smell like and some xanthan gum to thinken the water it will work a lot better
Do not do this i failed
Sorry guys
How long does it last
The forward facing rod holder is mostly used for holding your rod while you take a fish off or re rig your rod!
I realized that later on when I actually went fishing on the kayak!
Love my 120 too. So many great 3rd party accessories available for them. Navarre makes some amazing parts. I see lots of the Hoodoo/Brooklyn/other same models videos and people pumping their pedals like an engine to go a couple mph. The Old Town feels like you can gently pedal for days without getting tired.
Im sorry for responding so late but... In order for fishes to detect the smell it needs to mix with the water, you'll be the judge of that
bro you upgraded from the hoodoo !! .. i did too.. got a pa14 with nk180 :) gonna need to come back up there to join you sometime..specially since they closed flounders in NC again
Yes I did! Let me know the next time you do come up and we will slay some fish! Also looking to do more trips this year down to NC
❤made in TX, USA !
Great Vid. I just received my ember Sportsman 120 pdl two weeks ago and I’ve been adding mods / upgrades along with a helix 5 g3 DI unit . I’m looking at taking it out soon so I enjoyed seeing it in action. Ty
Awesome! I just took it out on some bigger/rougher water for the first time and it handled great. Definitely going to be adding upgrades in the near future. Tight lines!
Cool video. I just got the pdl 106
Awesome! I just took the kayak on some bigger/rougher water and it handled like a champ! Tight lines!
Does the pedal drive come all the way off? I'm gonna put it on top of my suv
Yes, it detaches from the kayak
Ft Monroe!
That’s just cool. I live right on the coast in el Granada CA. In 1 hr. I can be home with all the sand shrimp. (Ghost shrimp) I need. I never considered coconut oil. I’m starting to make chum balls and juice. ? Do you ever add anise or garlic? I’m going the blender preservative tonight. Thanks for the vid Deangerous!
Never added anise but that's a great idea! I do add garlic too! Thanks for the idea!!
Saltwater fish Attract or Not bro i like fishing saltwater ?
you should probably tighten your rudder leads thats why you can make a sharp turn...they come in loose to prevent damage
We’re you using the mirrorlure the whole vid? And what kinda mirrorlures are your favorite for speckled trout??
Yes. I like to use a mirrOdine 27MR suspending twitch baits of different colors, but silver and darker colors are my favorite for casting (depending on water clarity) and I use the 52 MR sinking baits for trolling during the cooler months. But really, all mirrolures are great.
@@rainershinefishing3311 awesome man appreciate it! Just getting into speckled trout since I moved here by the Elizabeth river in Chesapeake and now learning what to throw! Nice vid!
@@tylercraig6627 sweet! Hope you get on them! I'm in that area so hope to see you on the water. Tight lines!🤙
Hey how do you reach stuff behind you in a kayak like that?
It's not hard. You just reach over as if you are grabbing something from the backseat of your car.
Can you do this with worm oil?
I dont see why not if its got a high enought burn temp
Welp…. Gunna be people in there now 😅
I mean there are A LOT of small creeks on the Elizabeth River that look identical to this spot. Plenty of water for us all🤙
I just subscribed... and am in Chesapeake, VA. Just sold the pedal drive kayak and got a beaten up 1436 Jon boat for $500. Got it registered first thing... then did all my hull repairs. Starting to mod the hull now lightly (Seats and such) before taking her out and doing some shakedown runs. Then I aim to do some heavy mods and then paint by Spring. Aiming to explore and learn all of these waters with my kids! First trip will be to the primitive camping island... on the feeder ditch to Lake Drummond. From there, we will either take some trips onto lake Drummond to catch some catfish or crappie if they are there... or out towards the Canal ICW. After that we will start exploring further out towards NW River and Back Bay. Then start hitting places up like the Elizabeth, Lynnhaven, and Rudy. This is going to be fun!
That's awesome! Hope to see you out on the water. Tight lines!
@@rainershinefishing3311 Tight lines for you too! Thanks for the vids…
Cool video bud. Some Really nice size trout. I just subbed to your channel. Keep it coming.
Great video. Just subscribe... from Chesapeake va
Thank you! Hope to see you out on the water!
You know it. Be safe man
I just moved here from Missouri. Only caught rainbow trout back there. I’m dyin to get out on this river. I live a couple blocks from a run off part of Elizabeth you think there’d be fish in there?
Oh ok great and yes.
Nice size trout Rainer! Nice to see your uploading videos again! -Jeff
Is it normal to get that much water in the kayak? Was looking to get one of these, but that was alot of water
Sorry for the late response, water does go through the scupper holes around your feet, but the water drains out fast. I fish this kayak short distances in the ocean and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and it's never been a problem. If you are worried about getting wet, naturally your feet tend to stay on the pedals so I'm never really getting wet. I fish it in the winter when water temps are very low.
Stable enough to stand??
Yes. I stand on it regularly when sight casting.
@@rainershinefishing3311 saltwater? Does it handle well?
@@GhostlyShankemz yes, I really only fish saltwater with this kayak. I was out this morning chasing speckled trout.
Does the floor dry out? Or is it always wet?
Sorry for the late response. Water comes in through the scupper holes but it instantly drains back out. I fish it on the Coastal Beaches along with on the Chesapeake bridge with no issues. If you are worried about getting wet, your feet tend to never leave the pedals. I fish this kayak all through the winter when water temps are very low.
why not just use fish oil?
coconut oil in liquid form from a liquid dispensing bottle, you sure that genuine coconut oil? usually mine comes in jard and its solid like butter unless the weather is warm or hot
It's refined to get it to a liquid., it normally gets hard due to fat and lipids from the coconut this has removed those qualities
@@shmack916 really that is done?
@ARCSTREAMS yeah they do the same process with other oils aswell , it's "fractioned" they have it at Walmart in the cooking oil section
@@shmack916 what description would i be looking for then because they all say coconut oil i don't think i ever seen the word "fractioned", anyways i'm in canada so Walmart products here may be limited
@ARCSTREAMS just type liquid coconut oil into Google or Amazon, it will pop up. The bottles just say fractionated on them.
Any perfecting this method yet?
U the man
You hook a decent fish on those screw in eyes, you'll NEVER land it...
You Still have the Tempest. Awesome boat bro. I just sold my 2021 Tempest 120p to my best friend. I even threw in my 1st j2 Bixpy for him. That kayak moves with the Bixpy on the rudder or the gravity Bixpy rudder. I just purchased the limited edition Seafoam Hoodoo impulse 120 and i wanted the fin drive. I also received my new J2 PP 768 more powerful Bixpy, with two hrs of run time or more, with a warp speed 13. I love the Hoodoo fleet, with all they give you. Although in my 3rd season I have just about every added accessory, electronics, battery, FF/GPS, nav lights and all my fishing gear. But if you love to cover water like I do the Bixpy is amazing on that boat. I fish the flats, Backcountry, and mangroves in the Florida keys. I love my tarpon, snook, bonefish, and the occasional 3ft sharks. I'm a catch and release, and it's all pure therapy. Can't wait to set up my new Impulse, she's on her way by the weekend. 🌊 🎣 😎
That new impulse is gorgeous!!! Thanks for letting me know, I'll look into the bixpy! I'm looking to upgrade to something new and give my wife the tempest!
@@rainershinefishing3311 The tempest gave me everything I needed. Stability, balance, learning, my electronics, my setup. I've fished all my life, but from these kayaks today, they're a one man machine. I did so much research and loved the Hoodoos. But now I wanted the impulse, and that Bixpy on the 120 Hoodoo is a perfect speed for cruising, trolling, and just a perfect 4 to 5 mph on a kayak, is all you need. It'll take you anywhere, and back to your launch spots. If you pedal with no effort, easily hits 6 mph. And that's using speeds 6 to 8, making the battery last you all day long. I went with the bigger battery which is 2 1/2.x the battery life, and i'm out most of the day. But the original J2 battery is plenty. I loved my original j2, and I love the Hoodoo fleet, accessories, and their CS Is top notch. Stay safe bro. 🎣 🙏 🌊
@@anthonyvespia6662 well I GREATLY appreciate your input! I'm always looking for ways to spend more time on the water fishing! I'm definitely going to look into Bixpy! If you ever get anything new down the road, I would love to hear your input!
You mentioned jello, but I never saw when you added it.
Great video. Fish looks delicious.
How early do you normally see red fish and specks show up in Rudee Inlet or Lynnhaven inlet in spring? Can't wait to get out and catch some.
Sorry for such a delayed response. It varies each year. In 2022, the drum started showing up in late February but would hit lures. Had to use bait. Other years, the bite picked up march/April. Good luck!
Great vid.......what kind of boat shoes are those?
Sorry for the late response, these are just cheap 10$ Walmart wet shoes haha
،👀🧐😕🙁😒
It doesn’t make sense. Oil and water doesn’t well so how does it attract fish?
The bait(lure) soaks it up and gives it a flavor in theory. If a fish wacks it, but doesn't take the bait, it may give you a second chance at a strike vs it tasting like plastic. Some people sware by attractants like procure, etc. This is a more natural alternative you make yourself. I've caught plenty of fish with this attractant on soft plastic. Does it work? Maybe, maybe not. But I'm still catching fish with confidence and enjoying fishing.
After spending hours fighting the chop today on my Yukon, and now being wicked sore, I'm sold. Thank you.
Hi … one question , is there anything else that could be used for coconut oil ?? I mean can I use normal oil for cooking ???
hair skin teeth health and it's healthier and can be used in more health remedies
It can be used
I think the length helps the tracking.
any good spot recommendations for trout or drum of pier or land this time of year?
Look me up on fb, Rainer Dombek, or shoot me an email at rainshinefishing@gmail and I'll put you on some spots
so what are the cons?
What is the weight?
For freshwater or saltwater
Depends on the bait you add. He used saltwater bait.
Best of both worlds! Surrounded by a great inshore fishery along with a lake in the backyard! Bay fishing in the morning, lake fishing at night with dinner! Feeling very blessed!🤙
Thanks for the video, I just found a new 2023 for 1299. Thinking about getting it
