This project has been living on my harddrive for a year or so, and is very likely to remain unfinished due to significant changes to the story structure, ect.
Even thought it is no longer canon, I am still really happy with the progress I'd made on this AMV over the last year, and I want to share it, for archival reasons if nothing else.
What is The Troubadours??
Set in the desert town of Creeks Bend, Australia; 'The Troubadours' follows a close-knit family of musicians as they fumble their way through running one of the most remote music venues in Australia.
The Troubadours aims to fulfil the much lacking niche of Australian Fantasy, taking place in an alternate reality, where monstrous megafauna run freely and fantasy folks of all kinds co-exist.

In case anyone is watching this older video after seeing my newer Troubadours content, just note that the lore in this video is outdated, but I’m still happy with the animation so I’m keeping it up. Just please don’t take it as cannon because it is not. Tabbie doesn’t turn into a cat anymore and all their designs are outdated :’))
How would you call this species... Not centaur since they're not half horse half human (horse² maybe?) anyway, good for them. Can't wait till they find out about lions!
That’s a good point, I might have to start calling them horse squared or horse and a half XD I’ve personally been calling them Brumbies, because they are Australian and that’s what we call wild horses in Australia. However, they are my kinda take on centaurs, I just leaned more into the horse features because it’s fun to draw. Also you’re so right!! They would love lions!! There’s so many cool animals for them to find out about!
