Why did Peter Green leave Fleetwood Mac? During a European tour in late March 1970, Green took LSD at a party in a commune near Munich. Fleetwood Mac manager Clifford Davis described this incident as the tipping point in his mental decline (The Munich Incident). At this party in Munich, Amon Düül provided the musical accompaniment. Peter Green was so impressed by everything that he abandoned his band from that point on.
