I did a Nora Corbett. Evanora the bewitching fairy. It was a black silhouette with some caron waterlilies in browns thrown in and the backstitching and beads made it look like she was wearing a black veil. Trevor loved it. It was his Christmas present.

The way I organize my floss is easy and convenient for me. If you give it a try, definitely let me know. I have been building up my fabric stash since I started stitching. Almost all of it is aida. I’m not sure without seeing the problem but I know when I’ve had stiff aida it can be a challenge to get it into a hoop. What I do is first, make sure to open up the outer hoop far enough that your fabric actually fits inside. Then I kind of squish the outer hoop shut around the fabric holding it in there. Then I start to tighten the screw. As I get it tight enough, the fabric catches and I can adjust the tension. If the screw is not tight enough before I adjust tension, the outer hoop pops off. So really tighten it down before pulling to adjust tension. I hope this helps!!

I think the “tag less” one is Iolite from Chromatic Alchemy. There was a loose tag a had tucked in there - might have gotten shaken to the bottom in transit? The stamped ones are from 1884 Stitchery from a special sale. Those are all 32-count, I believe!
