Hello, If the device is not giving you an IP address when you have pushed the button, this could be an issue with the device not being given one by DHCP, you will need to investigate the network with your IT team to confirm if this is the case.

OK, good questions, the Algo 8180 Bull horn speakers work well with no delay (this can be network effected) using the AUX out to the PA AMP no issues, has being done many times, can get a tiny amount of delay, but again this depends on Network lag or traffic. BUT you mention wireless, Im assuming W-Fi, this can be an issue, I had seen successful WiFi Paging links work very well, I also have seen total DOGs. When it boils down to it WiFi can run into issues, so much will depend on its deployment and environment, throw is in with 2.4 or 5G and co-channel interference as well as traffic and coverage. If can work, but it needs to be installs with the best practice and the common sense rules. Not trying to be smart here, I love wi-fi (especially VoIP wi-fi) but it can bite you.

Hi, we have not being ignoring you, your question started a debate in the office and we also ran into the helpful issue. Anyway I have the answer, which is NO the line input on a PA3 cannot be streamed to Multicast, Have talked to the Factory and will try an push them towards doing it. If you need the Line Multi-casting the Algo 8301 will do it. Hope this Helps

That is what I have suspected, and I hope Fanvil will enable what they have published in MULTIPLE power point trainings that show graphics demonstrating a connection from an iphone or MP3 player via the "Audio line cable" into the PA3, and multi-cast to speakers or other PA2's. I have a school who wanted music through the halls, and I had previously been using a number of PA2's for Bells & Paging to OLD paging speakers, which worked great. I then started streaming music from an Algo, and the PA2's would time out after 10 min. I opened a ticket with Fanvil 1-2 years ago, and they said the PA2's were not designed for continuous use. I then started the process to run all the cabling required to install Grandstream Speakers in all the classrooms and all the halls, which is now completed, however the music through the Grandstream speakers sounds like garbage. :-( I think we have 2 issues. 1. Grandstream will not allow me to turn off the Auto Gain function, so after a few seconds of music, the speaker starts cutting the volume down. 2. When I turn on the OPUS codec on the Algo, I loose all music to the Grandstream speakers. I was hoping to use the PA3 to broadcast OPUS so I could determine if the codec issue is with the Algo or the grandstream speakers. (I am hoping the opus codec will allow mid-low range in the Grandstream speakers. As it stands right now, the only thing that sounds good through Grandstream speakers is music from the 1940's. - lol) As a side-note, Hector Z. at Fanvil claims you can stream from the audio line port, but you have to press a button to enable it. I have yet to get that to work, but if I can, I am hoping to use a WiiM Pro device, which has a 12v trigger, which can hopefully be wired to $10 relay on amazon (or maybe to a BobWire DAT1), to "push" the button in the Fanvil. That being said, if you know how to program the PA3 so that when you push the button trigger, it will broadcast multicast, that would be helpful. (currently I am trying to "push" the button by shorting the button pin outs, as I am assuming it is a contact closure. If there is a specific button module, my ideas above with the relays will probably not work.) @@everleagroup8985

Hi Ben, you can use Multi -Cast compliant SIP Speakers, Phones, intercom, just note not all equipment available out there performs as well as Algo. So would recommend you test any 3rd party equipment you want to use before install or just use the Algo and avoid possible hardware, inter-op issues and support issues. @@benjaminwexler1420

No not possible, the 2 x controllers will not integrate and the Ascom hand sets have limited connectivity. Even through all equipment is GAP compliant the Ascom handsets have issues such as not generating ring tones etc
