Well well well, what a find we have here! A brand new Rush recording from the Fly By Night Tour! I personally recieved this on Christmas (one hell of a Christmas present) from a setlist.fm user named "kabblammachunk", who got it from a local radio station (WSAN) clearing out old stuff. So this upload goes out to them for making this possible! This captures Rush's performance at the Roxy Theater...

It's been a while since I uploaded a new bootleg, hasn't it? Well, wait no further. This is another Power Windows show, capturing Rush's performance at the San Diego Sports Arena. The quality is mostly great, and well-balanced, though an inferior bassy source is used for "Mystic Rhythms", "Distant Early Warning", and part of "Witch Hunt". It originally ran a half-semitone too fast, and was more...

I was there, can anyone remember they, the band, made an announcement that some poor soul had died on the way to the show? very sad.
Is there any video for the 1985 Twin 125s? I have not been able to find any.
Is there any video of the 1985 Twin 125s? I have not been able to find any.
I was there. Terrible venue, simply a giant cattle shed. Five of us slept in the car in the car park afterwards!
I was at this show too at a robust 25 years of age...
I remember having a snowball fight from the top of one of the parking garages nearby...
What the hell is this?
It was an April Fools' Joke
I was there. I was 15. I remember thinking the show might be cancelled due to a snow storm moving through. We almost spun the car around on rte 495 doing 60 in the snow. Fantastic show!
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, in my humble opinion.
I was at that show. Tom Petty opened. I was fifteen. Great sound at The Tower. Saw the guys coming out of the theater onto the bus after the show. Didn’t have a pen to get an autograph! After the bus pulled away, my brother found one in his pocket. Thanks dork.
**FACTS BEFORE the 1985 DAYTONA 500** · Terry Labonte was the 1984 NASCAR Cup champion after narrowly beating Harry Gant. Rusty Wallace was the best rookie by quite a bit. · The schedule was shortened to 28 rounds after the Nashville Fairgrounds would no longer host NASCAR Cup races. · Only a handful of top drivers changed seats before the 1984 season. Cale Yarborough switched to Ford, Buddy Baker became a co-owner of his own team and chose the GM #88 and Rusty Wallace didn’t change teams but changed to the GM #2. · Labonte started from the back in the Clash, quickly made his way up and just dominated it. Only stories were Pearson’s T4 crash and 3 out of the other 12 starters having severe engine troubles. · Bill Elliott got the pole at over 205mph with Cale Yarborough in 2nd, a Ford 1-2. · Elliott crushed the competition all the way in a Duel 1 with no crashes. Terry Labonte, Tim Richmond, JD McDuffie and 3 more drivers all had big engine troubles. · Yarborough dominated Duel 2. Tom Sneva and Donnie Allison had engine troubles early on, then Jody Ridley, Trevor Boys and Clark Dwyer all were involved in a multi-car crash and during the rest of the race names like Bobby Allison, Morgan Shepherd and several more all had engine troubles. · The list of non-qualifiers included names like Jody Ridley, Davey Allison, Tom Sneva, JD McDuffie and Randy LaJoie.
That COT was so damn tough.
Greatness!
Seriously!!! Why are you posting this horrible sounding recording?
First concert 45 years today.
It's amazing how much his singing changed in that one year time span from 1980 to 81... His voice never really recovered after the permanent waves tour

Benny Parsons (GM #55), another part-timer, won the Dixie 500. Despite being the best rookie of 1983, Sterling Marlin couldn’t secure a fulltime ride and didn’t have a good sophomore season. Drivers listed are the season's current top8, last season's top8 plus the rookie of the year before and whatever race winner that doesn't fit any of those 2 descriptions. Yes, I’m using the unsponsored names of the races. In North Carolina’s case, the earlier race is the Carolina 500 while the later one is the American 500.

Bumper gate or not, Tim B’s lf corner of Cale’s car was illegal af…don’t think it was a contact issue, pure aero 😅
Both Turkey & Hungary need booted out of NATO now !

its crazy how well we could recognize the cars back then ... now it all looks like color soup from a distance
When they turn the pages of history When these days have passed long ago Will they read of us with sadness For the seeds that we let grow? We turned our gaze From the castles in the distance Eyes cast down On the path of least resistance Cities full of hatred Fear and lies Withered hearts And cruel, tormented eyes Scheming demons Dressed in kingly guise Beating down the multitude And scoffing at the wise The hypocrites are slandering The sacred halls of truth Ancient nobles showering Their bitterness on youth Can't we find The minds that made us strong? Oh, can't we learn To feel what's right and what's wrong? What's wrong Cities full of hatred Fear and lies Withered hearts And cruel, tormented eyes Scheming demons Dressed in kingly guise Beating down the multitude And scoffing at the wise Whoa, can't we raise our eyes And make a start? Can't we find the minds To lead us closer to the heart?

Hey just wanted to say this is super super cool that you did this, my dad and his friend went to this show and I’ve been looking for a long time. This is my favorite rush song and favorite song in general, and it’s just really cool to see this. Thank you!
They could do a live race in 70 but couldn't show the 500 live until the mid 80's????

All-time classic finish
Bill Elliott's 3rd win. Joe Ruttman gets fired from 98 for no reason. And replaced by LD Ottinger
firs time seeing this race now i have seen all of Bill Elliots wins
Was at this concert. Saw some great bands at the old Cowshed. 🤟
Alex was shredding. This is why I love RUSH. It was Alex that made me want to listen to RUSH. Then it was Geddy... Then it was Niel. I'm not diminishing any one of them or disrespecting them. I love RUSH as a single unit. But, this is how I feel about what MY ears want to hear. I'm a guitarist first. Then, a musician.
I was at this show. Me and my little brother sat 12 rows up from the floor on the other side of the Seattle center coliseum so we could be center stage, full view. Somebody was passing a very large joint around that I took only two tokes off of. BLOWN AWAY! By the time they played Camera eye, I was well on my way. Perfect timing, too. It added to the mystical repetition of that song. Being center stage at the back of the house was the perfect spot to get the perfect sound of that Arena. RUSH was as always perfect that night. Still a rabid RUSH fan.
Amazing band and an amazing song.
I went to this concert on the Saturday night,l still have the t-shirt and ticket stubs. Wild horses were the support band.
4:02:05 And so it begins...
Dean Combs only career top 10 in the Cup Series
I was there that night. At around 2.25 you can hear that Alex breaks a string. He quickly switched from the 6 string to the 12 string neck and picked things up again, which was very cool. Then at the break at 3.04 he swapped guitars. It was a very slick piece of work by the road crew. My first and probably best ever gig at Hammersmith Odeon !
This concert was just over a month after I saw them at the Worcester Centrum - Oct 1984
If you look at the end of the video at winners circle. The women in white dress is my grandmother. The young lady all the way to the left in the red dress is my mother at the young age of 16-17. And My grandfather standing in the middle with a blue oak woods homes hat on which he was working for at the time. Awesome to see this.
They only played Japan once. The reason why is in Geddy Lee’s book. Frighting story actually
Read up on it, Can you really blame the guy tho?
Dude I was at this show!!! Rush, April Wine and Max Webster opened!!! Rush was AWSOME!!
who was the opening band?
Is that Closer to the Heart?
JUST A FEW months later I saw Rush at the Tarrant country convention center area. I had two dates. CASSIE AND CHRISTIE. MY DAD WAS so impressed. And the concert was great also!
FYi the picture 8f from rush in 1975 from the annual Kite Flite held by St. Louis missouri, USA radio station Kshe 95 ( since 1961. It is the longest running rock radio station in the world)
