How a circular FPSO is built 🚢🛠️ #engineering #innovation #shipbuilding
A floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit is a floating vessel used by the offshore oil and gas industry for the production and processing of hydrocarbons, and for the storage of oil. 🛢️ An FPSO vessel is designed to receive hydrocarbons produced by itself or from nearby platforms or subsea template, process them, and store oil until it can be offloaded onto a tanker or, less frequently, transported through a pipeline. FPSOs are preferred in frontier offshore regions as they are easy to install, and do not require a local pipeline infrastructure to export oil. 🚢
This FPSO is built specifically for this oil&gas field. ⛽

It connects two other parts of the system, perhaps a pressure vessel and a valve and can be removed for maintenance or replacement needs. Hi!! Mostly depends on Cost advantages The low cost of the cylindrical FPSO concept, as compared to other concepts, is based on following project outputs: Low lightship weight, including large storage capacity. The hull does not weathervane; therefore a turret is not included in design but the hull is spread moored.

      Hi there!! It is called remotely operated vehicle (ROV). It is a submersible craft used to perform underwater observation, inspection and physical tasks such as valve operations, hydraulic functions and other general tasks within the subsea oil and gas industry, military, scientific and other applications. ROVs can also carry tooling packages for undertaking specific tasks such as pull-in and connection of flexible flowlines and umbilicals, and component replacement. They are usually operated by wire from a team of people on the vessel. Lunch and retrieve of these ROVs is done by dedicate lifting operation (no divers are required).

    Subsequent to the initial accident report, wasn’t failure of the foredeck stores hatch cover dispelled? Didn’t remnants of rope from cats cradle over the hatch indicate that the hatch had been blown off as the ship sank, as opposed to have been the originating cause, with the initial cause having been actually attributed to water ingress through vents? Ultimately the same outcome after she started to ride low in the bow, BUT important in respect to any suggestion of poor seamanship in the initial investigation (though not suggested in this video) that may have attributed to the failure of the foredeck hatch cover.

    • @sse_weston4138
      @sse_weston4138 Рік тому

      I think that store hatch cover just refused to close and that rope configuration was the next best thing, but yeah whether blown off before or after the final plunge it didn't matter too much.

    This was a study done funded by the insurance company to avoid payments. The vessel suffered aa catastrophic bulkhead failure by the accommodation due to a design fault. Her sister ship had the same defect and showed cracking and had to have strengthening plates fitted. This is yet another example of insurance companies operating a Ponzi scheme.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Royal Navy have a great video, the Liverpool Bridge is in a set of typhoon rollers, it’s already nose low when the chopper gets there. One of the rollers was just slightly bigger than the rest. As the Derbyshire climbs the wave it doesn’t make the top and the top of the wave crashes down on the foredeck smashing cargo hatch covers 1&2 . The Derbyshire labours over 5 more rollers each crashing over the foredeck filling up holds 1&2. As the Derbyshire travels down the fifth wave the bow is now submerged. As the Derbyshire attempts to begin the climb the front digs in and the wave just swallows the ship in one instant. It happens so fast the chopper has to swing straight around cuz it can’t believe what it just saw. The Derbyshire has gone to the bottom. There’s no doubt the chopper could see the idiots have left a crew hatch open, which left them open to that roller that was just slightly bigger than the rest. Because once 1&2 were open to the sea, well that was it then. Verdict. Crew negligence, boat too long for wave height and frequency⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

      It was proven that the hatch's were closed and were even tied down for added security. The crew was cleared of all charges. This wasn't the only ship that had structural problems either. The blame lies with the companies and the governments negligence and blatant unwillingness to even find out the truth of what happened. Until they were forced to open a investigation after 20 yrs of them not giving a fuck!
