Hello ! What kind of sailboat are you riding? It looks super fun for the lakes! Cool video, thanks!
Im on a foil board, with wing sail. The guy doing the video is on a sunfish.
I enjoy watching this video, 🏝
49? I owned 57 in SC until she burned in my shop fire. I salvaged items. Sold many. Still have some stainless hardware. I really miss my S2, 79, #57. ALSO, 145.
Very cool! I've got a H16 as well. Might look into a foil board now. lol
Yall still racing Tejas?
Yep, out most Wednesdays and a few weekend races when time allows
@@arask6400 That's good to hear. Gopro broken or what? lol
august 25 my brithday
Why isn't everyone wearing a PFD?
Is that the 10'0? I'm looking at getting into this. Thanks!
I like some good Hobie 33 boat porn!
Looks like a blast
What kind of board do you use?
9jclt vum.fyi
awesomesauce!
foredeck guy is a spaz...
When ypu were saying use the hook it makes it easier what were you referencing
Old sunfish don't have a block at the deck so there is a little hook you can place your mainsheet on to give you some extra leverage.
@@arask6400 thank you I just bought my first sailboat a sunfish!
@@Laura-lu5rq Good buy, its hard to beat a sunfish for first sailboat fun.
Would it be easier just to mount a ratchet block to the forward foot strap mount?
I have done the exact same thing on my sunfish on lakes superior in about a 10 foot waves
the biggest bullshit I have ever heard you have never seen 10ft surf
Where was it that you were doing this sailing? Looks like a blast. I've sailed surf cats, primarily Hobies, for years. Interesting to see how Sunnies handle it.
It was on the sound end of lake Michigan by New Buffalo/Union Pier. The Sunfish are fun but hard to handle in waves bigger than this video
Awesome recap video! Bummed I couldn't join you guys, always another year
good times rite there !!!
Perfect ending
Lots of water in the cockpit at the beginning. Does it self bail?
they have a small self bailer but yea it took a while to empty the boat with me kicking water out and the bailer working once through the surf.
@@arask6400 Great video btw - and the Sunfish looks great in that color! - I'm also curious if it damaged the sail or mast on that wipeout?
@@jonathanmccord9181 Thanks, and yea I ended up putting a kink in the upper boom it wasn't super deep and it ran across the ground and bent. Otherwise the boat was fine.
That had to break a spar at least???
AWESOME video! Looked like a perfect day for some 33 surfing. Was this during a race or just storm chase?
It was during the hook race that ran up the coast of Wisconsin
@@arask6400 LOL'd at the bailing water part. Are yall still racing Tejas?
And with a tiny #3 too! We did the Miami to Havana race on a Hobie 33 and hit 23+kts surfing downwind with an AP kite. Equal parts terrifying and exhilarating.
I know that feeling!
You know you can’t put it up of the water because people know there’s fish
Two of my favorite things in one place small keelboat racing and Grateful Dead
excellent. :D
Foredeck at the start: I feel ya
Vytenis was working hard! Great team work.
so do you think a kid would be able to do that with a uprighting bag
Real great video and the lagoon
Great video brahda.
im going in april, any advice on where to go and see
Faiz Rahman You should definitely visit Arno atoll. Or maybe go diving at the world class diving spot at Bikinni atoll.

Wow! It is really beautiful. The waters pristine clear and the beaches are just amazingly beautiful. How was your trip? I want to go there someday.
