    Forget about these knobs, boet. They forgot that, at the time, the Jaguar XE Project 8 wasn't out yet. So naturally this car would've been competing in two classes. It's own peer class, and the class it was priced in.

    You literally know nothing about cars 😂 the xe s is a competitor for the s4, c43 and 340i. Also jaguar has never ever been the every man car 😂

    I park mine without a problem and that includes parallel parking. You really don't sound like the type of person that should be doing an assessment of any 4x4.

    This is a silly review by someone that obviously doesn't understand nothing about 4wd...he didn't even mention the diff lock which is one the most important component,you don't see the point....don't drive it mate

    What are your thoughts on the rear visibility ? Also, how is the road noise ?

    • @clutchgo1907
      @clutchgo1907 7 років тому

      I had no issue with rear visibility. And, what road noise? The Mazda 3 is really a properly built and very refined car. Even on bad roads it glides with absolute grace.

    That's a old console , new 7.8" infotainment system in the centre now , but the looks are great and yes it does grow on you .Its a most underrated ute but when you have used it on/off road you will see why the people that own them rave about them as a great all rounder along with being a family vehicle.

    Nice review! I have a 2008 Mazda 3, one thing that I don't like about the car is the sound isolation, is it better in the new one? Can you compare it with a Golf or Audi A3? THX!

    Great review! I've heard that Mazda might launch a Mazda 2 Sport version just like other manufacturers have done. The purple colour is really horrendous and I like deep purples...

    It's fascinating to see how differently Mazda configures the car for different markets. Here in Australia, I have a new Mazda3 SP25GT Hatch, which is one grade down from the top spec SP25 Astina. It gets the 2.5 litre petrol engine, the new centre console, including electronic handbrake, most of the other gizmos like heads up display, auto folding mirrors, etc., pretty much all the active safety package but no sunroof or adaptive cruise (Astina only). The 2.0 litre engine only comes with the lower spec models. I'd love to know how Mazda decides who gets what. Nice review btw.

      I forgot to mention how your countryside looks so much like many parts of Australia. You could easily have been driving in rural New South Wales, although your road signs are different.

      Crosshead1 The difference from country to country is quite interesting as it gives us an idea of the economic standing of the country as well as a population's needs and desires. It could also be the company simply trying to gain maximum revenue for a specific market. But as interesting as it is, it is also frustrating for people who are searching for reviews only to find that what they see on UA-cam is not what is for sale where they live. Thanks so much for the support!

      I am moving to Portugal from Canada (Owned a 2.0 M3 Sedan back in Canada) and to my dismay I've found out they have quite a hefty carbon tax on cars. 2.0 Cars here get heavily taxed and obviously don't sell well. Here, in Portugal, the best Mazda 3 is 1.5 only and diesel... No sunroof option on the CX3, quite expensive and 1.5 as well... The MX5 can be a 2.0 BUT it is mighty expensive... Out of the question! I wonder how I am going to feel about driving a M3 or CX3 that is only 1.5...

    • @clutchgo1907
      @clutchgo1907 7 років тому

      I haven't experienced the 1.5 litre Mazda engines, besides the TDi, but I'm sure they will still be punchy and smooth. Alternatively, maybe you should look to another manufacturer's options? Or just avoid moving to Portugal altogether if they cannot help you endorse your desires!

      I know Mazdas well and I know how their cars drive. I can even fix some basic stuff myself... I drove a Honda Civic 3 years ago and it was very unremarkable. I hate driving, so when I am inside a car it better rock my world... That's why I like manual Mazdas... I looked into Kia, Renault, Mini, Honda, Toyota... These are all possibilities. I have until June to decide...

    How is that possible that there is a manual hand brake in a FL model? I own a 2017 3 and it has electronic parking brake, with the central console covered with a roller blind. Weird. Anyways, very nice video on a fantastic car!

    • @clutchgo1907
      @clutchgo1907 7 років тому

      I think it depends on the market. Many consumers prefer a manual hand brake lever because of its simplicity. But there is no denying the benefits of an electronic parking brake, e.g. the space it allows as well as no annoying cables being strung out. But I think the major reason for the manual hand brake lever is the const effectiveness. And, as a side bar, I think it makes people think of BMW, which is a good subtle strategy for Mazda in the South African market. In that respect, it also compliments the overall design of the cabin and the sporty feel of the car. But that's just my 2 cents.

      Yeah, I guess you are right that specs vary from market to market. But these are just details. Overall the M3 is a great car and I thnk that Mazda is getting close to the premium class with their latest releases. I am looking forward to your new videos - especially on Mazdas :) - and I keep my fingers crossed for your channel. Keep up the great work! Cheers from Poland! :)

      yup, depends on the market. I live in Hawaii (USA), and we don't get the folding front side mirrors that other markets get...I even see air vents for the rear passengers in back of the center console for other markets.
