Can you drive up to the top with 2WD? Yes, but it can be a struggle due to the steepness and section of non-paved road. That said, it is definitely doable in dry conditions, just don't press the gas too hard. Take it easy and try not to be distracted by the amazing views!

At 1:25pm on July 23, 2017, a blue SUV somehow managed to drive westbound on the eastbound lanes of Glenmore Trail near Deerfoot Trail. I'm not sure how the driver managed to do that, but recently the Glenmore/Ogden interchange opened, so they might have accidently drove in the wrong lane there. I may have missed it in the video but did you drive continuously for 12 hours or was there a driver swap? I'm thinking about doing it myself, but I do want to prepare myself and make sure I'm putting safety first.
Well, just drove to and from Vancouver by myself. Pretty enjoyable experience all things considered. Took a short 15 minute nap both ways in the exact same place, a gas station near Kamloops. Would definitely do the drive again for the view and then just fly afterwards lol.
