Argyle would be better off by bringing Schumacher back only until the end of the season then appoint someone new in the summer

Morning Rich An exciting game overall! We felt it was a game Argyle could have won, or they could have lost! However, it was a much better performance than the last pre Sheffield United ones. Bundu was excellent and looks a real threat on the wing, he’s more effective there than playing as an out and out striker? There’s something there now, with the addition of some new players in January, and the return of our injured ones, that can give us some hope in avoiding the dreaded drop back to League 1. Great job as usual guys! Compare that (and the Sheff Utd game) to the debacles at Norwich and Bristol and I think we can say we've turned a corner performance wise and if we continue to show that fighting spirit the wins will come. COYG!

Morning Guys! A miserable evening all round yesterday! Started off with an accident holding us up for half an hour on the A38 at Halton. Got into our seats a couple of minutes before kick off! The evening continued to go down hill still further, with, what I think was an awful performance. Can’t believe how many misplaced passes there were, as though the players had never played together before. There’s something missing there, there’s no ‘spark’ in midfield. I don’t like criticising individual players, so I won’t. However there are several players who are simply not good enough. I don’t blame Rooney, hopefully Mike Phelan will prove to be a good appointment. Rooney is like a carpenter, perhaps has the knowledge, but not the the tools to carry out the work. Whoever the new investors are, they need to have bottomless pockets of cash to put this team right! Ollie and I will continue to support Argyle whatever League we will be in for next season. I’m 80 this Saturday and have seen it all before, since my Dad took me to my first game at Home Park in August 1957! Nice to see you last night Rich!

Hi Guys Ollie and I couldn’t get down last night for the game, the weather and Ollie having to get up very early this morning to catch the train at Tiverton! Obviously followed it on the radio though. Didn’t seem we played well enough first half particularly, but better in the second. I suppose a point is good in the end!!

Another late night, Rich! Home just before midnight, now on here whilst having breakfast and then the dog walk! We thought it was an awful game, particularly the first half. Who would have thought that Argyle would end up 1-0 winners? Portsmouth were a poor team, although they seemed to shade the first 45 minutes. The substitutions later in the second half certainly livened up the Greens. Thought Wright was lively, and Obefemi got that vital goal when it was much needed. Onwards and upwards…………………hopefully !!!

What a match, what an atmosphere again, and....seven minutes of extra time, and the goal in the seventh minute too. We look good at Home Park, and I think away we are OK too, Tuesday was only a dodgy penalty costing us.

Hi Rich Another dramatic game! They certainly put us through it don’t they? Blackburns goalkeeper made a couple of fantastic saves, to keep them in the game. Then Whittaker gets the winner in the last minute. On the edge of our seats for most of the game. We have a team now that will not give up until the end! Ollie and I need the break now to recover!

Morning Rich Didn’t get home until midnight, so a bit tired ! Another belter of a game. Ollie and I think we have the making of a good team, able to retain our Championship place. Rooney seems to get his tactics and picking the right players for each match pretty much spot on. Last night, with Al Hajj getting that crucial goal early on, I think helped a lot. Cissoko coming on in the second half was a game winner. He’s brilliant - it’s a shame that we will never be able to afford to have him here permanently. Gibson was absolutely outstanding, particularly with those two crunching tackles prior to Cissoko’s first goal. His pairing with Szucs is looking good. Al Hajj appears to be Azaz’s replacement, and looks very promising. A brilliant team effort and well deserved three points! Onwards and upwards now! Cheers John and Ollie

Such as exciting game, down and up and up and down, but up again at the end, very exciting to be there, great atmosphere, I am delighted for the players and Rooney, all the hard work is showing and a win was deserved today. Hi Rich What a fantastic win in the end! First half was forgettable wasn’t it? Half time came and only 1-0 down. Obviously Rooney had words with the whole squad, as the subs didn’t have their full kick around during the break! Second half a complete turnaround. Much better passing and pressing. Captain Fantastic Joe Edward s outstanding! When he scored the winner Ollie went berserk beside me, my ears are still ringing!! Cullompton McDonalds went down well on the way home!

The first half was appalling but Rooney must have kicked their arses at half time because they came out a different team 😊
