While it is nice having comfy skills, I would highly recommend using velk armor for frost craft and frostfang barioth for punishing draw. Combine with crit draw, special ammo up, and spread up and you get some nutty damage.

you basically have to think of the arc thrower as having a giant cone that goes out in front of you, if anything other than an enemy is on your screen it has a chance of arcing to them.

it's because the arc thrower is an electricity weapon meaning the electricity is going to find the path of least resistance. your friend being between the bugs and the arc is the path of least resistance.

Amazing gameplay. Man I loved this weapon when I started playing mhw. As hunts got hard with little room for error, I took the easy way out by learning the long sword and the swag axe. Im trying to make a comeback with the cb and learn hunting horn too.

This video was crazy good. I just started playing a few days ago and instantly went for charge blade despite knowing it was not an easy weapon. I'm getting really good at the fundamentals for charging shield, sword, SA, SAED etc but I can't seem to really find much info on optimal ways to flow from one thing to the next. For instance what are the best or fastest sword combos for charging phials. Should I always do fuller combos leading into axe transform or just Triangle+R2. Your savage axe combos were super clean as well. I guess I am looking for a more advanced guide. I know its a lot to type out but if you could point me in the right direction it would be super appreciated!

Please note than if you use correct kinsect and correct spot you can reach 165 per hit on kulve taroth. Please remember than a kinsect drill can hit 10 times per drill.

That looks like a nasty pierce build, as a sticky bowgunner I am always in need of a good pierce build. I've got some fixings for a spread build or two, but not a pierce, at least not anything better than a Viper Tobi.

So I may be wrong about this but I believe I read something along these lines about how the Alien AI works. Essentially, the Alien functions off of two separate routines for its AI. One always knows where you are (the all-knowing AI), one does not (the hunting AI). The Alien only functions and attacks you based on the hunting AI (obviously) finding you, so when the Alien is in an area, the hunting AI directs the Alien to look for you. Obviously if it sees you or you make a noise, it will lock onto you and find you. You are effectively giving it clues to your location. But what if you just hide in a locker or stay completely still, in a room nowhere near the Alien? Well, if you fail to give the Alien any hints to your location when you're in an area that the Alien is hunting, the all-knowing AI will start to feed hints or "clues" of your location to the Alien. Almost like an invisible, unheard entity following you around going "Pssst, hey Alien! Check out over this way." This is why, even if you're hiding in a locker in a room nowhere near the Alien, it will still, seemingly at random, enter that room and approach that locker. The longer you linger, the more hints the all-knowing AI will feed the hunting AI, until eventually the hunting AI figures it out. The game hints at this by telling you "Hiding is only ever a temporary solution." It literally is, because of how the AI functions. Also, I believe one of the main functionalities of the higher difficulty is not just how sensitive the hunting AI is to stimuli (the radius of it hearing you) but also how readily the all-knowing AI will give the hunting AI hints.

Actually that is not great DMG with the insect drill, I suggest the power 20 and lowest speed insect so it does more ticks becs it's slower, u should also consider changing the element to thunder or ice, which I think are her weaknesses. That allows for 120 + ticks 8n the drill. When u further improve your point of descent and point of landing for a real good angle u can achieve 2000 DMG drills with the kinsect only. That's a start I use for alatreon, u can use true fatalis dayus but a kinsect with counter element, do u get insane DMG and easy element topples with good kinsect drills on the head. I recommend trying. U could further increase ur DMG using the kinsect cancel on finishing moves.

The Alien heard your tracker and running. People always forget this thing can hear nearly everything you do. You also hid in the most predictable spot. The AI narrows down where you're at the most or goes through a process of elimination to find you. Considering there was only 1 room and 1 good hiding spot....the alien had everything to work with to find you
