On a grommet panel you can raise the rod slightly without moving the brackets with a piece of furniture pad or something similar. Place it between the rod and brackets.

Could you do a video on corner window with a double rod. I have just had new windows by Anderson put in, I have 3 rooms that have corner windows. they all have a 90*degree turn.
