The angry river is the masterpiece on the top of a masterpiece. In my ears it sounds like a prey in many ways....Matthew McConaughey played the role of his life here. Yet. Dalas Buyers Club was a masterpiece. But Rustin Cohle is uncomparable... The burden he carries all his life with the lost of his child, the lack of happiness he puts himself into so he doesn't get any disappointments again, the rationalizations he uses seeing the everyday irrational things people do to get out of their black hole in the scene with the priest, the way he let himself go fucking his friend's wife and the pain he shows after he understood she used him, the way he let himself been beaten by Martin, the degradation he felt in after leaving his job which was his only balance...and in a way making him an even more attractive figure... really how they did that!!...and finally the way he breaks and tells his truth to Martin in the end...man we THANK YOU for this masterpiece. Woody Harelson was a perfect yin to Rustin yang ...

I wish I could watch True Detective again for the first time... Then again, even watching it for the fifth time (as of rn), it's still phenomenal, so I really can't complain.

Some of the lyrics of this song are exactly what the movie 9 "2009" explains! Like this one: "We've paid the price of this cruel device.". If you know what it means, you know what it means.
