A beautifully made and edited film! But I hope you won't take offense if I tell you honestly that this music doesn't fit the shots at all and I wonder why music wasn't used that had a harmonizing, relaxing effect and thus deepened the impression of the film, instead of these rather aggressive sounds. In my film series Masked Dance in Riga, it took me many hours to find the right music for each character.

Yes, what is shown and described in this video is shocking. I don't know if a house or an industrial plant is to be built there, or if the trees and bushes have simply been removed so that they can be sold to western countries for a lot of money. When I was visiting friends in 2006, we drove from Riga to Reskne. I was horrified that a huge truck loaded with tree trunks came towards us about every 10 minutes. When we drove back at around 11 p.m., again every 10 minutes! Every 10 minutes! I said to my friends back then how long will it be before there are no more trees in Latvia? Just because you can do big business with them in other countries. Really sad and tragic.

My deepest sympathy for the destruction of a small part of paradise, captured in beautiful images. But also tragic in the context of an older film, about which I will also write something, where the nature, the bushes and the trees not far from their house were irreparably destroyed, probably out of greed for money. I wish them a lot of courage, confidence and friends who will help.

The music at the beginning of the video is hauntingly beautiful. Nature at it's most devastating . Brilliant choice of background sound.

We visited Riga for the first time a few weeks ago. Beautiful city with magnificent trees and flowers everywhere. Sad to see so many down, but good that most are still standing.

Wow - count the blessings. It was bad - but could have been far, far worse if any of those trees had fallen onto the roof.

Very impressive but at the same time frightening documentary. 😮😢 I wanted to make a similar film but was unfortunately prevented from doing so.
