Highlights from a rainy race at Le Mans 2024!
I stayed at the track previously for the whole 24 hour duration but this year It was just a mess. The rain was relentless for almost half of the race and it seemed absurdly cold at night for the middle of June but as I write this during a 42 degree record heatwave, I kind miss the cold. The video has highlights of the race and some of the events during the week, there is simply too much content and things must be cut (sorry Fun Cup). Even with the rain making things difficult, It was still worth staying at the track during the night just to see how empty everything is in the early morning.
The grandstand videos are mostly filmed from T18.

This was very early in the 24 hour race. Ferrari had penalties for all of their cars so that's why they moved so slowly.

Right in the middle between Paris and Le Mans, lies Chartres, a small picturesque French city that was perfect for a quick stay while attending the 24 hour race of Le Mans. it IS the best race, but also ironically, not a single person watches the whole thing! Personally i enjoyed the first your, a few battles inbetween, and the final hour was spectacular to say the least.

@@goodtimeblimp there was so much yellow flag time, there is no way i could watch the whole thing. Unless maybe they bring back the team Oreca Vipers from back in the day :)

@@PascaLM_ 1.129 km travel distance if I drive with my car. Unlikely that I will do this every year 😃 Is there an airport in the near of Le Mans?
The best option is Paris. With a train, it's a 1 hour ride to le mans.

Ive been to the 6 hour's of spa and the video never does it justice when ur standing there everything just shakes
Exactly! At Le Mans in the warm-up lap, they play the song from Rocky III. You can feel the adrenaline bubbling in the air. The video never does it justice.

It really is an amazing experience worth the trip.
The crowd was completely insane, and not only because of how many people were there but also how long they stayed. I have attended to a lot of Le Mans editions and never have i seen so much people at midnight, 1am, 2am, etc... And same in the early morning.

Took my tickets today for 2024. You can stay at the start with General Admission ?
Depends on the ticket. If it's valid on Saturday, then yes. There should be a description of what you bought on the official website. If it's valid you can stay but not in the grandstands. There is plenty of unseated space where you can stay below the stands , but you need to be very early and need to keep in mind that it will be very crowded. Besides, the view through two mesh fences isn't that great. If you go a little bit further up the circuit, you can find good hill positions where you can see the start, but again, you need to be early.
