Nice run but b30s usually never have their rated power. 100 to 200 in like 23 or above secs. Should be doing around 20 or below if it still had all 231 ponies

I would start with vacuuming up those big chunks before using air to clean the rest off. Less likely to get stuck in the motor. Thanks for the video. I did not realize how easy it is to take the top off.
You have a VERY poor running engine. Tons of areas in the rev range where you lose power. Go get it looked at.
This engine is healthy. The road rises a little.

@@GamingHistory. engine has some plastic parts already, not as much as modern bmw, but some cooling system parts and cam cover have cracked and needed to replace. Otherwise yes it works.

Went from an e46 323Ci manual to an e39 530i auto, the car feels about 6 times slower and I'm more than sure that it's because of that dogshit automatic transmission...and this video pretty much confirmed that. Seeing the RPM needle at almost 6500 RPM and the speed needle barely reaching 60 is just incredibly discouraging. Also it literally died when you put it into 4th, it's just struggling SO much, just like mine. Fuck these shit transmissions.
My e60 258hp has very similar performance around ~7s 0-100 and 28s from 0-200 also in automatic. For People saying that manual is way faster, no its not(it sounds faster) , its like 0,2-0,5s from 0-100 its the most you can get and it really depends on what size of wheels you have,, condition of your car, The wind, The Road, weight of your extras in your car and many other

Manual is always faster than a hydraulic converter automatic gearbox, for the same gear ratios. Period. Now my M Edition manual E46 330CI has gear ratios much shorter than the automatic one, 2nd gear will reach around 90kmh, 3rd 130, 4th 170, 5th, 210. You bet it’ll destroy this one.
Motorweek got 6.1 seconds to 60mph out of the manual, EVO magazine got 5.8. Motorweek got 14.5 seconds for the 1/4 mile for the manual, 15.1 for the auto. Now, if you fit the autos shorter final drive to the manual, and extend limiter to 6750, you'll get a 14 sec dead quarter mile, and the same 50-80mph time as a 350z. You can also fit a shorter final drive to the auto to give it similar performance to the manual.
In e46 chassis manual is always way quicker than the automatic one.
Have raced a handful of auto 330i in my old manual 330ci and they’re not even close. They’re considerably slower.
