Fred would be so proud 😢
Terrible song.
Fred thought them well👍
the music ruined it
Great film , lose the shit "music" though , totally spoiled it
Very interesting... Lovely tune too 👍🏼 ✨
fitting that it got to serve as a chimney one last time...God bless
SEND FOR FRED!!!
All the dislikes are for the music, I promise you
Odd choice in music.
i wanted to hear the demolition!
Audio is garbage...😩
Is the very top, a little crooked?
I assume that the bottle, wedged in place at 1:53, is an early warning device if the chimney is on the move.
Most people don’t appreciate the value of folk music. Thus the complaining comments.
this video is great,if ya just turn the sound off
Nice tribute to Fred Dibnah and the many other Steeplejacks who done it the right way, God bless them all.
Fred would have approved
It was fred who pulled it down. He was lighting it in the video
@@Strokes1983 That would have been a miracle, he'd been dead 6 years when this chimney came down.
I would have watched this to the end but the totally unnecessary and irrelevant shit music put me off after 15 seconds.
Disgusting boring song I don't know what this has to do with s*** anywhere in this world but that was a disgusting boring song
I agree
Good video but the music is a massive turn off. WHY!
Dump the shit music.
I noticed a glass bottle as a prop, is that an early warning to run if it suddenly breaks? If it is, how clever and simple is that eh....
Yes he explained that in another video
@@davidm3maniac201 They obviously didn't see that other video. Hence why they're asking now...
Another video with crap music.
Not as good as Fred
Isn’t the same without fred 😩😩
Did the chimney write this song?
That music spoils the video,mute
As a bricklayer it makes me wonder how the hell they built that with such basic tools and technology
John Bowkett yeah? Are you a marshal town or whs user? I always Favoured the marshal town 10 inch red handle, originally got an 11 inch and wore it down to a 10 over the years ,my father in law bought me a twelve for Xmas and it was like a shovel haha
John Bowkett ah Christ what a nightmare! bastards probably sold your stuff for peanuts as well, good luck on getting them back or building your gear back up,done a garden wall for a punter about twelve years ago and I got ripped for my money and he also kept all my tools including my worn down marshal town trowel and I never got truly comfortable with another trowel again,I'm out of the game now, backs knackered and so is my elbow but still have a passion for our craft, all the best.
John Bowkett you too mate 👍
Thats why you have to admire the Romans for their buildings
@@davidm3maniac201 indeed
Somebody put that bloke out of his misery.
Lol
where's the tires? you need the fucking tires to burn a chimney down proper.
Gay fucking song.
If l was Delilah I’d take that guitar from him and bust it over his head. Shit song.
Di ya li tha?
I actually missed fred when i watched this and i never met the man
It makes me sad to think about the graft that went into constructing that chimney. The bricks and mortar most likely hauled up using ropes and pulleys. Imagine building it and standing back and looking at it when its finished, what an achievement. The men who built it will no doubt be long gone, the plume of smoke a final tribute to them.
"Did ye lark tha"
why the gay music?
Job went to plan 👏
Do they intend to leave Britain with a single chimney standing??? What the hell! You can't afford to replace them or the buildings they were attached too. Once they're gone they are gone. Why not repurpose these plants for something else....... Even apartments. They make excellent spacious loft apartments.
SteamGent converting one would be fun
That old brickwork as nice as it looks is cold and more importantly it is damp and dose not lend itself to being converted to apartments. Unfortunately it’s easier and better to knock it down and start again
@@dragonfitter yeah with fake wood, vinyl, plastic cheap materials. I'll pass.
They still make them of brick layed with a trowel in exactly the same way the bricklayers built these buildings they simply add insulation, cavity trays and damp course they would of done the same back then but nobody had thought of doing it
Look at Stu cromptons videos the brickwork he is doing is fantastic far superior to that old chimney
Annoying music ? Where's fred ??
He passed away in 2004. John Warburton kept his methods going until last year when it seems warburtons steplejacks went out of buisness. chimney felling was not unique to fred dibnah . He tells the story of it going back as far as the battle of jerico in biblical times.
Freds dead!
Like if ya miss Fred!
Random Stuff too right! he had his own way of doing things and I'm sure he would have thrown a few tires into that fire haha
Very interesting film , shame about the audio,
Actually I was thinking the opposite. Didn't see anything that Fred Dibna had not done decades before, but the music kept me watching.
Oops. Dibnah.
Music doesn't fit.
Nice little flue fire to dispose of the metal work! Was that planned to happen like that? At the start I thought Oh I wonder why they didnt strip the metal off first. Was it steel or aluminium?
Defnately wouldnt want to hear that bottle smash while underneath knocking out bricks
Fred Dibnah would have done a better job ...
as long as its droped whatever way, but fred was a legend
And with tires.
its the true way for a chimney to be brought down smoking
my dad is so brave :) so proud x
What is brave about using a jack Hammer to knock out bricks. The men that built this chimney were brave
@@davidm3maniac201 You are pathetic.
Where abouts in woodnook is this!?
