You are so right!❤I was just thinking along the same lines just recently.

I have Zecchi watercolors i bought in Florence Italy 15 years ago. I don’t know that I’ll ever get back there in my lifetime. They are special and precious to me. I decided just this year that the joy in using them is better than the joy in just owning them. I’m no great artist. I do art for me and no one else. I deserve good stuff. Passed all my cheap stuff along to others who would appreciate them. Now I use the good stuff. Every time I use the Zecchi paints I am reminded of a wonderful special trip 15 years ago and it makes me happy. Life is too short to use cheap supplies. Use the good stuff and enjoy them! You go girl!

I do this with PVA glue. Your method and advice to not use too much and to apply carefully is very important. If I rush and use too much it leaks into the pages. THANKS

The Shiva sticks have a skin/shell on them. I take my thumb nail & peel a little section. It will harden again as it dries & I really like that about them, so they don’t mark things up or get squished when toting them around. I often dip a paintbrush in them & use them that way, since they are super pigmented.

Hi Yolanda just stumbled across this. I have difficulty seeing accurately at the moment and have done lots of the things you suggested. I also used to do tiny neat embroidery but now work more freely. I think by doing what we can we find new ways to create. I know you posted this 2 years ago so i hope you are continuing to recover.
