What are u using for bait?

Isn't it possible to close off your stands to prevent wasps from entering inside and building nests. They may build outside but they will be more manageable.

I worked with a guy , millwright , that loved magnums. He had built an all steel tower stand that the first time he hunted that year took his new 270 short mag with muzzle brake. He said he never saw the huge nest of red wasps in one front corner of his stand. He said a small buck he wanted to cull came to his corn pile , he sat rifle on rest , barrel just inside window , sighted on bucks vitals and squeezed off a shot. Then all Hell broke loose. The combination of the sound along with muzzle blast that caught those wasps full on drove them to a frenzy. He stopped counting at ten stings. Luckily he had no bad reaction but he said his head hurt like never before. I bet it did.

You can spray the outside with milathion in the middle of the summer and they will be gone by the time you get there at the start of hunting season
