These guys have such an amazing collection of songs over their career. Prolific, in my opinion. Because in my opinion, they always just used metal and techniques to advance their songwriter style. They keep it interesting, always have, have a gazillion bad ass songs. Fucking amazing band.

9:06 makes me feel so many emotions I can’t explain it’s incredible, after much thought this is my favorite clean section in an Opeth track, maybe my favorite part of any of their songs. It’s amazing how you can portray the sadness and hope from the concept of the record and produce such thought provoking sounds from just an instrument. We live in a beautiful world people, it’s the tiny details like this that’s worth living for.
